I think it would have to be someone that regularly rides a two stroke, maybe the GNCC guys. Very unlikely any of the top 10 MX riders here in the US could jump on and beat him in the first day on a two-stroke.
Christophe Pourcel.
Truth be told, nothing changes. If you take the top stars off of four strokes and put them all on two strokes, the results stay the same.
Maybe the very young ones, like Jett & Deegan would be at a slight disadvantage having not spent as much time (if any) on 125 & 250 two strikes as guys like Tomac & Roczen.
Malcolm would be decent- he spent a good bit of time on a two stroke 250 KX.
Marvin.

I think Deegan would put up a good fight on a 2 stroke. Even without the experience. He rides up in the revs and has good corner speed. Can a Monster Energy guy be on the Carson Brown show?
Tomac.
Edit:
Cianciarulo
You don't think he's much more competitive with Roczen and Barcia in these Redbull videos than he was in the Nationals?
Well that would all depend if it's an actual race ie. full moto or not. A few laps he would do good but an actual full length moto imo most of the top guy's would pull away from carson.
I’d argue that Jett and Deegan would have the best shot.
need to do this on stock bikes. when that happens i think some lorettas level B riders could run the pace. and just young enough to hang it out.
He has been beaten at the two stroke championship at GH the last two years…
It's easier to be competitive when the track is smooth and you're only going all out for a couple of laps.
It's a completely different thing when you need to go 30 + 2 on a national track with 39 other riders.
Tomac has never raced a 125, and Roczen raced one once for KTM after wrapping up the MX2 title,
the last professional rider on the US circuit who had raced a 125 as a professional was Nick Wey i believe,
StankDog
I believe all the people that beat him consistently enough to end his SX dream, would beat him on a 2 stroke as well.
Love Carsons videos, along with everything else he does.
Dante & Dare rip on 2 strokes. On a smoother track I’m sure Carson could be in contention but on a smoked rough track I think they could.
1st & 2nd at 2 stroke nationals this year I think
Pit Row
In his format, Carson has proven he’s very difficult to beat. Single lap speed on a fresh track on a 2t. He’s elite.
We all know a full moto changes things significantly. He’s still really good, but he comes back to reality.
Having been at the 2 stroke national, Derek Drake was definitely the fastest guy there. His bike just broke in moto 2 while he had a comfortable lead.
I seem to remember Carson was the 2nd fastest guy, just not great starts and maybe a crash?
One thing that is forgotten in this whole discussion is you have to ride the 2t in the meat of the powerband, while that means keeping the revs up that also means not over revving the bike. Modern 4t’s rev higher than current 2t’s and I see a lot of guys who jump to the 2t just rev the crap out of the bike and not go anywhere.
Marvin would be the fastest listed. He raced & is the Pre mix 125-150’ champion of the east . Where the fastest riders are & best tracks , full gates too. Carson,s races R only a lap . I can do a good sprint lap. If there whoops I hv a better chance.
Like an actual race? Or you're talking 3 lap time trials?
Prime Ryan Surratt against Carson on YZ125s
Decotis at that home spot he made the 125 video at. Not sure how much he’s been riding. I’d watch
Profesh could prob beat him. One of the Russian girls would drain his energy.
Case closed...
Who? Brown?
No. The best riders will always be the best riders. No matter what machinery they’re on.
I miss those Jimmy D 125 2 stroke YouTube videos from the early 2010s. A few of them were filmed in the sand pits directly behind my parents house in Peabody. I could hear the bikes from my bedroom window all summer and always knew when Jimmy was there because he was always on the pipe.
Which video are you talking about? He’s made a lot of 125 vids.
I feel like Tomac could do decent. He rides the 450 WFO and uses the clutch to manipulate the power, and loves momentum lines, he'd probably adapt to the 2T well. I think he'd give Carson one hell of a battle.
