Matty has a good video with his opinions mixed in.
wow, they did something about the starting blocks!! That’s good. I think 4 inches is reasonable. Unless you’re less than 5’6? If that’s the case I hope they can write an exception rule based on height.
Also that “point system” for a “code of conduct?” On and off the track? That one is the one that kind of worries me, soon as someone doesn’t fit their agenda
*doink….there goes a point
New tough blocks in 2026.
So the chest protector rule states it needs to have back protection as well. I don’t think anyone runs no chest pro anymore but I assume a lot of them are running the front guard with the straps on the back? Shouldn’t be too big of a change for them but I like that the rules state you need to have something protecting your back.

Never thought I’d see that mandate on the US side of things. Would like to see the reason/data/research behind the decision, I’m sure they do prevent injury but it’s always nice to see the facts.
What are you talking about?
4” is enormous!!!
Not according to your mom :-(
Dad..?
What has changed with the tough blocks?
to lessen toughblock collisions they are allegedly gonna use wedgies... i mean wedges.
Wild to think certain records now become unbreakable
Funny
They tested a new style this year. I think they'll be using those starting next year.

How do you know his mom uses starting blocks? 😉
Must wear chest and back protection …. HRP on a comeback?
Man, some people will just downvote anything.
I thought this video was a nice breakdown. I thought the new "collusion" section was confusing and didn't understand the point, and I'm glad to see that Burkeen agrees. When I started reading it, I was hoping it was going to be something to try to prevent extreme team tactics. Instead they just added a section that seems to give the race director a lot of leeway in possibly penalizing collusion. I think the problem is that without any kind of definitions, it seems unlikely they'll ever use that rule.
What about going off track.
The last race I watched Jason Anderson went off & was back in the lead after the next corner. He then went off at least 2 more times in the race highlights & still won. Ok the competition was weak but, this needs attention.
I’m not trying to bad mouth Jason plenty have done the same, & making these errors non punishable is becoming a joke
Doesn't matter, that wasn't an AMA race.
Pit Row
I like the maximum height for starting blocks. Some of those dudes were feet on the pegs when the gate dropped.
Honestly 4" is still probably too big - Unwieldly almost.
Kai Aiello landed on a new style tough block yesterday during press day.
