As exemplified in another thread where a lot of you are cheering on the killing of Venezuelans, who are most likely Christian btw. Do they not deserve this forgiveness you speak of? Are you not passing the same judgment you say only god can do?

I would say you should also look in the mirror.

Ahh the whole monopoly on god, I believe better than you thing. Just that single belief puts you at odds with the fundamental principle of Christianity which is to treat others as you would wish to be treated. The Mormon probably thinks you are not a Christian either. What makes him any more or less right than you? And do you not see the absurdity of that argument/judgement?

So basically, you know nothing about the topic you’re trying to interject.

Please return to smoking weed in your Mom’s basement.

This should be another thread as it's probably a "coincidence" that one of the victims is the VP of the campus republican club. Right?

But since this is the Bondi Beach thread, why did the PM say they will be vigilant against antisemitism and right wing extremism? Should he like us be trying to keep this on topic?

Christians genocided almost the entirety of two continents in the name of Christ brother. It’s not just Islam. All followers of Abraham have committed and continue to commit the most horrendous crimes against humanity. If you’re going to judge, at least judge equally and consider history.

No, you can't lump it all together and say here you go as proof.  The bible was written by over 600 individuals at the current text.  Yes, accounts were removed (Womens writings specifically) as well as people would kill and say it was because of Jesus or God.  That does not make it, or them better. Only one person will judge you, and that time comes when it comes and it does not abide by the laws of man.  The bible is a compass for humans teaching us how to love, serve one another, forgive(most difficult), and to be a servant to God by spreading his word which is what I just broke down. This is the foundation of his teachings.  None of which is to kill, lie, steal, cheat, judge, etc for it is a sin.  All of man sin, that is why Jesus died for our SINS.  All you are doing is casting judgement upon everyone with disdain.  I hope you take a moment and look into the mirror.

I’m not forcing anything on and your beliefs are of absolutely no concern to me. But do not come on here and spew a bunch of bs with complete inaccuracy. You showed your colors it’s cool. You do you, just don’t press your crap on us.

Leaders always did this and used God as a ploy for the people to pa taxes and get behind war.  Everyone knows this who took some form of actual history or read a real book.

Tyrants, kings, all alike were conquering left and right for greed and power just like today. Only they didn’t have media. So they used what they could to sway the public.

Your arguments are seriously lacking depth and I would say perhaps it is time to open more books.

Around 6% of the UK is muslim as per last set of census data. That's four million people out of 67 million. The big migrant problem where I live is English people moving in who refuse to speak Welsh and who get shitty with the locals that do, who simultaneously demand place names be changed to something 'easier to say'.

I said this in a previous thread but the UK as a whole has been under threat from invasion for several thousand years now and managed to survive. Pagans, Catholics, people with beards, the French, the Romans, the Spanish, most of Scandinavia, the Germans, the Angles and the Saxons have all had a crack and not managed. You guys are free to shit yourselves and run your own countries as you see fit, but stop buying this weird narrative around invasions. You'd think from some posts in here that there's so much migration to Southern England that the whole island is in danger of flipping over and the Scots start waking up confused in mid/Southern France wondering why it's suddenly warm and all the women are attractive.

If you are speaking Welsh I’m guessing you’re in North Wales. I spent a few years in Gwynedd and I really empathise with you being invaded by all those Brummies and scousers.

As an Englishman I do apologise.

Are you claiming things have not evolved since those times? How far back do you need to go to justify your view point? Should people still use that as an excuse 1,000 years from now? How is that relevant to life today?

I don’t believe in engineering or need engineering to teach me how things work. But I get in my modern car and drive every day on public roads around a city full of tall office buildings kept running  by an electrical grid and water utility that keeps it operational. I don’t need to understand or appreciate what engineering has done to make society function, but I can exploit its benefits on a daily basis. Engineering is fake, and I know it is because I see these things exist in the world and I can understand them by studying them in their current form.

Old testament is a little weird, but I think the new testament in particular has a lot of value in the world today. I was raised without religion, so it's all foreign to me as a truthful reality, but the belief part doesn't actually matter. There are tons of excellent references of morality in a million fictional stories around the world and throughout time, even in pretty much every 80's cartoon I watched as a kid. Things don't need to be real in order to get a practical useful value from them. It took me a lot of years(decades) to finally see that. I've learned more about Christianity from Maga through a what-not-to-do observation since 2016 than I had in my entire life before then, and really the new testament is pretty solid and applicable. I'm so much closer to Christianity and conservatism than I've ever been, yet I'm so much further far from the Republican party than I've ever been. Interesting times.

There’s nothing to “know”, you said everything that needed to be said yourself for me to draw the conclusion I did.

And fyi, after 52 years of life i can say with pride that I finally moved out of moms last year. I don’t smoke weed, and still haven’t had my first girlfriend, but I am writing a book titled “How to judge others based on my belief that my beliefs are more valid than their beliefs, and how to delude myself into thinking I’m morally superior to everyone”. I’m getting really good feedback from my editor, and she says it’s a sure fire hit within the fundamentalist communities of Christianity, Islam and Judaism. I’ll send you a copy when I’m finished 😂

I thought Australia had no guns by the way?

THEY are allowed to possess a firearm in Australia. But they are much more strict than here in the US. No semi automatic weapons among other things.

That's a great one, don't think I've ever come across it before. I love the honesty that comes with being open to critique, it displays both humbleness and confidence at the same time.

People certainly do that, but the first "just" part is very inaccurate. Two of my old coworkers were proper Christians and they really changed my view through their character as taught to them from the bible. Two other coworkers used it as a medium to promote the blackhearted desires, but always remember that the shitty version of something, does not define the thing. Surely we've all come across the same challenges at the track.

You’re right that was too broad of a brush. In my lives experience the most religious people I’ve met (and grew up with) were the least tolerant of others.

I can show you Title 76 of the Utah Code and trace the foundations of those laws back to natural law and religious law. Similarly, you can point to the engineering plans for the SLC water utility and find design principles first introduced in the Roman aqueducts.

Yeah man that's the trap, because it's very alluring to come to that conclusion and dismiss, but apply that top level concept elsewhere. Try it with criminals, or the people that ICE are going after, etc. etc. It's just a different flavor of the same thing. I don't like barbaric shithole countries, but you always have to make room within yourself for the good version to exist. That internal struggle is in a thousand stories in the bible.

I find Quiet Christians are often the “best” Christians. They have complete confidence in their faith and are not compelled to convert others. Rampant evangelism sometimes sours peoples’ view, especially here in Texas where megachuches dot the landscape. Blurry line between Jesus and capitalism.

I’m not sure what you mean by apply that top level concept to criminals, etc?

I didn’t and don’t need religion to teach me those things. And it seems those things only apply if you are part of the club. As evidenced by the thousands of years of wars in the name of god.

Believe whatever you want, but don’t force it upon others in the name of spreading the word of god.

Welcome to Islam.

Welcome to every organized religion. They all try to spread there bullshit.

But some religions don't kill you because you think different than them.

Religion is just an excuse for people to be shitty because they just say well god will forgive me.

When was the last time you saw Buddhists shooting up Hindus because they believe something different?

I can show you Title 76 of the Utah Code and trace the foundations of those laws back to natural law and religious law. Similarly, you can point to the engineering plans for the SLC water utility and find design principles first introduced in the Roman aqueducts.

I’m not sure what you’re getting at?  Can you show me unrefutable evidence of god?

Yes, why yes I can. How else can you explain perfection?

What’s this thread about…?

Bueller?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Some of you are really missing the fact that we could give a flying fuck about your views on religion and “your life’s experiences” and all your “what about me” stupid shit.

Again…what’s this thread about?

Godspeed to the Aussie families and friends of the lost.
