This picture is 50 years old at legendary Saddleback Park with my friend of 55 years Jeff Arzouman practicing his early culinary skills by the trash can. 😜

72 Ford Econoline Van, three on the tree. (wonder how many of the youngsters know what that is?) 😁

it was my first vehicle and I wish I still had it. Was a hand me down I bought from my Pop. In the recent Grand Prix movie with Brad Pitt, he had a mint lifted Econoline that I drooled over.

I've always been a van guy.I've owned five in my lifetime. Never owned a pickup. Vans just always were more practical to me, as you didn't have to worry about stuff getting stolen back in the day and you could also camp or have extra curricular activities with your girl. 😝

Foam Factory for mattresses.  Just plug in your dimensions online, select the type and thickness, super easy and very good quality.

I've used them several times for custom mattress/couch foam. Inexpensive and good quality. Then I use an outfit in NY to make nice custom zip covers for the foam sections. Foam on the bench/bed in pics below is from Foam Factory.

Snapped a couple pictures as I was unloading from DITD at Glen Helen last weekend. Always my favorite event of the year.

My new battery/solar setup did great. 4 days camping and the solar kept my battery topped off with the fridge and fan running all weekend + device charging.

Also installed a passenger side swivel base. Makes it feel a lot more spacious inside.

Just got my diesel heater delivered. Working 2 weeks straight so hoping to get it installed maybe next Saturday. Planning to buy the hinge extensions for the rear drivers door on my transit in a few weeks and start building my bike rack off of them using lolo hooks.

Do you sit and chill in the passenger seat a lot? I've thought about doing the same to my van.

So far, absolutely. Two seconds to flip it around and it's great if my lady is with me. Between me, her, and the dog the extra seating space is nice. It makes the back area feel more spacious too which has also been nice.

It's where I sit when putting all my gear on before riding - can lay my crap out on the bench. It's also very comfortable spot to sit and kick your legs up on the bench/bed when you're just chillin.

I spent a little move vs just getting one of the turntables you stack on existing seat base. This maintains stock seat height and offset. Super beefy, made in the good ol' USA.

I use mine every time we go ride. It’s a nice option to have.

I have the stock ford bench seat in my Econoline. Do you think their is enough room to spin the passenger seat backwards? Most swivels I've seen don't have the bench seat behind it.

I have no idea. We use a transit.
