Anyone happen to know if the extended Chevy vans are longer than the extended Fords? (Cargo, not transit). My buddy said the Chevys are 4inches longer. Tried google, but I’ve gotten varying results for dimensions on the Fords.

Yes the extended wheelbase express van is longer by a few inches. I've had both.

Thank you! Did you prefer one over the other? I found an 04 6.0 express with 87k for $5k. I’m really close to pulling the trigger on it.

The Pro's of the Nissan High roof van. It's a full frame vehicle, not a unibody like some of the other high roof vans. So it should be a little more durable. It's probably the least expensive of the high roof vans. I got this one for around 13k with 100k miles. It has more than enough power from the V6 for hauling, probably wouldn't be good for towing. The engine is a lot easier to work on because it has a hood like a truck instead of van.

The con's. It doesn't have a very long cargo section, so you couldn't really have a bench seat behind the front seats and still haul bikes. It's not the best looking van, but it does grow on you.

I've had it for about 5 months and it's been great. I mostly drive it on short trips, 1hr to 2hr, to the track. But I did make a trip of about 8 hours up to Sonoma for a Supermoto race and it was great. I'm planning on hitting a few of the AMA Supermoto nationals this year, so we'll see how that goes.

What are you using to hold the helmets?

In this pic, it's a Pit Posse helmet holder. You can find them on Amazon or go to Pit Posse directly. But now I use garden hose hangers like these

I have roughly the same set-up. AdWag stuff is sure nice. I'm curious what brand those exterior LED lights are. I've been thinking of doing something...

What does this conversion run including van purchase?

Had this Ford Boxvan from 1987 - 1996, then purchased the white one. Now, I'm just driving a regular E350 and miss the boxvan every time I go riding. Thanks for all the terrific pictures !!!

Do you guys think 2 50s, 450, Zuma and all the random race stuff would fit in an extended Econoline that has a bench seat also ?

Transit Connect High Roof LWB. Perfect as a daily driver and doubles as my Moto van. I slept in it last year when I went down to the Barmouth Beach Race. I picked this up for a measley £500 and it's done me good with 137k on the clock.

Wouldn't recdommend driving far without a bulkhead. I live 20 minutes from my local track and it's 30mph limit all the way there. When I go further than that we usually van-pool anyway so it doesn't come with me everywhere.

Not the prettiest van in the world by all means but it does the job well!

Ive been looking at these lately, do you have more pics with it loaded up?

What is a van like that worth ? I,m looking for another Chevy g20 I like the style, super durable, 90,s captain chairs r so comfortable, mood lights r killer. A few bolt ons like under drive pulley, tbi spacers, etc play with the timing improves mpg a lot.

Sharpest van ever built The G20. I,ve been trying to buy another 1 for quite a while. The low mi really clean ones sell really fast .the exterior and interior especially is super unique from the custom wood to mood lighting and flex steel captains seats. It’s so hard to get 1 that I thought about getting a Chevy express 98-04 there engines hv a lot more computer stuff and mpg is no better.
