Here are the pictures and descriptions of the engine restoration
for my 79 CR250. I disassembled the engine, cleaned and
measured all the components, The crankshaft was sent out for
a rebuild and I NDIed the tranny components. All the springs,
thrust washers and circlips were replaced along with any part
that didn't spec out. Incredibly, the cylinder still had the original
chrome bore and was in excellent condition.

After repairing the corrosion and other problems with the various
parts, I painted the inside of the cases and clutch cover with color
matched Glyptal paint. I temporarily bolted the cases, clutch cover,
ignition cover, cylinder and head together and powder coated every
thing Satin Tahitian Red as a unit.

Stripped and repaired clutch cover

Sigh . . .

My balls hurt.

The 78-79 250's really were one of the prettiest bikes ever.

You need to make a road trip first. Just in time for some seasonal Shiner Christmas Cheer Beer. Brewed with roasted pecans and Texas peaches.

Save me one Joe. I might see you in a few days. Please send one to our friend FTE, his balls are hurting.
BTW, ask Albert if he still needs his carb adapter made.

Thats perfect. I would have to use that as the centerpiece on my dining room table, if I were capable enough to do that.
