Is it the same start times like the last couple of years or are they earlier?

I think a universal 7pm start is ideal. Not if it’s just what I feel as if I’m just conditioned to but just feels right.

But it’s not really, it’s 7pm eastern time. Used to be 7pm local time. I like the est though since I don’t have to stay up until 1am anymore if I watch live.

Love a 7 p.m start for the east coast.

Ya but sucks for west coast people.  3:00 in the afternoon start.  Opening ceremonies in day light with fireworks going off, stupid.  Angel stadium right field seats are looking to the sun till the sunsets.  And cuts into the Wife’s Saturday shopping by 3 hours.

My first a1 was 2023, I have never seen an opening ceremonies in the dark in person, which is crazy to say.

Shit I read into it wrong. I like the 7pm local time. 4pm start on west coast absolute sucks. A1 when the sun is still out for opening ceremonies is trash.

Agree. SX has always been a night time event, it's just not the same when it's still light out. 👎

It actually sucks because this year in Denver the good side of the track is on the East side, but there is no way in hell I am going to sit in the setting sun during the entire race and get sunburned and have to wear sunglasses.  So truly, this sucks for the local fans at the races.  I get to sit on the crappy side of the track just so I don't have to bake in the sun all afternoon.  It should always start at 7pm local time.

Being from Argentina, those time are really good, but I agree that SX should be at night. I remember a couple years ago that races started at midnight local time! And they ended at 3 AM. Good memories though.

Let’s see, whats better overall, east coast viewers staying up until 2 am or west coast viewers watching mid day?

I live in the central time zone and don’t even attempt to stay up for the west court rounds when they start “late”. I get up at my normal time and watch it first thing Saturday morning.

Has to be better for TV rating to start earlier, as well.

I see Nashville is a 3pm start time, which allows for everyone to hit broadway after the race, if that’s your jam. Might be attending that one but I’ve been to broadway enough to have my fill.

Living on the east coast, I don't mind just waiting until the morning to watch it. It's so easy to watch these days!

With these early start times I'm going to subscribe to watch them live. Mav, what is the go to subscription in Canada? (if it differs from the US).

The international stream:

supermotocross.tv

You can maybe watch it on Peacock, but you'll need a VPN. You might need an American credit card to pay for it as well. Not sure.
