That simply doesn’t follow. I have a general interest in forming beliefs that are supported by evidence, and in not accusing people of things that evidence suggests they didn’t do. I don’t see any evidence that Trump is a pedophile, and there is some evidence that he acted in support of Epstein’s victims in the past. I don’t generally care much for Trump and don’t know why he’s not more eager to expose the truth now. But disliking Trump and wanting to see justice for Epstein’s victims doesn’t mean all manner of accusations against Trump are fair game, evidence be damned.
Apologies, I was not clear in my thought. Defending him online on whether or not he is in the files, or if some random post is erroneous in it's depiction of his guilt or innocence is all fodder for fools in this case and it also accomplishes what goal #1 is, deflection from the public shaming of pedophiles.

This stuff is all pretty obvious when you don't tie your identity to politicians or parties. Democrats never released the files because they are trying to protect either people in their party or someone they were bought by. And Republicans are fighting the release for the same reasons. Doing backflips to avoid the obvious, either the politicians out there or us minions in here, is either carrying water for pedophiles, or carrying water for people that are carrying water for pedophiles. It's not awesome either way.

People post fake stuff that says good things about Trump too. Its unfortunate that people seem to just jump to believing something if its what they would like it to be. And often write off legit stuff because they do not like it. I hate how flooded the internet is with fake news.
I personally have started to trust that the news reported on TV and legacy media since they have more to lose than to gain by putting out fake BS. Lawsuits and FCC lic, etc. loss of reputation . When the word of a News source can not be trusted to be true, they lose viewers and that costs money. Youtube and Facebook do the opposite and reward people for putting out fake news. They can cash in on clicks and views from people who want it to be true. The floods of misinformation I see online make me trust the internet less and less for news, current events. The legacy media has big money and can be sued and shut down if they put out fake info on the levels that many accuse them. Selective reporting is a problem. But if You watch a variety of stations You can get a more complete picture of what the full story is, if You allow Yourself to be unhappy with what the truth is.
Anybody that has gotten to where Trump is , is no Angel. He has admitted to grabbing and kissing women. He never denied that he said it or that he did it. He has bragged about walking through the dressing rooms of beauty pageants he's owned. He is actively trying to prevent the release of info and push back against the info that has been released. Just like the thing with Rusia, HE'S making it MUCH harder than it has to be. He made himself look guilty enough that I'm glad they looked into it ( I wouldn't want ANY President to be a russian asset or actively working with a country that wants to hurt the US, whoever it was. SO I think it's worth investigating to rule it out.) and could have easily avoided all that by just not pushing back on it so hard and letting it play out. By pushing back so hard he made it last longer and as a result had more of his life dug into.
And he's doing it again with this Epstein stuff. It's obvious he was friends with him. I doubt that there's anything in there that would stop his 36% hardcore supporters from supporting him. I doubt he cares much about exposing other people. Maybe its as simple as a few big money donors asking him to not let it out. Either way it makes it look likely much worse than it is. Like the Russia thing. He just seems to fight , even when it's in his worst interest to do so. OR its more of a distraction from something else . I bet that unless its something really messed up, with a ton of solid evidence proving whatever it is, that if everything had come out back in February , everybody would have moved on. Instead its kept alive, often revived by Trump himself.
I'm having a hard time thinking of reasons that somebody that knew what Epstein was doing and did not report it to somebody, or at least consider it. Is guilty by association and should have to deal with the implications of knowing what was going on and not saying something. For Trump, no matter what comes out, his hardcore supporters will not believe it if it makes him look bad. I don't care if it was my Dad named in them, I would think VERY differently of him if that was the case. I find it kind of scary that there are people who like or dislike a person so much that they will twist anything into lining up with how they already feel about a person.
