Don't see that happening, As good of minicycle riders as the above mentioned were in there day I don't think they had near the speed of AC and there priorities were not where AC are at 13. The kid is way mature for a 13 year old and I think that shows on the track in his results. Just my opinion.

Why? Because I feel like when Malcolm McCassey threw a microphone in this kid's face 5 years ago or so and proclaimed him to be the next McGrath at 8 years old it put a lot of unwarranted pressure on this kid.

I like Adam and I hope he kicks ass when he turns pro but if he doesn't turn out like what everyone wants him to be I'm not going to feel bad. These companies like DC, AStars, Monster, etc are helping his family and fame prosper but it could go bad really quickly.

JGR's kid handled him at Loretta's this summer and it looked like at the time that pressure might have finally started to get to him. I wasn't there so I don't really know but please, let the kid be a kid. I know this is the future he wants but it I feel like they started a little too early to deem this kid the next King.

I do not mean any harm but it just sucks to see so many kids flame out at a young age. Again, I hope this does not happen to Adam.

Im positive adams 112cc full pro circuit bike is faster then cooper webbs so it wasn't the bike not being fast enough even though it did blow up numerous times..

Webb is also a full year older than AC, the difference between 14 (AC) and 15 (Webb) is big strength wise.

Tough economic environment, but this makes considering a life-time contract a viable option as it places short-term risk on the manufacturer (e.g., the guy flops) while long-term risks flow to the rider (e.g., lost opportunity costs). Compensation schedules previously used will not work in the current environment, hence many guys still being on the fence line.

Determining a present value is easy through monte carlo simulations.

I love that kid! has more personalty than 90% of the pros out there.

..and anyone who feels the need to rip on a 13 yr old kid doing something he loves, seriously needs to re-evaluate their lives.

Not sure how you could say it is "easy" when something like that has never been done before. How would one go about predicting the future cash flows(since you want to talk about pv) for a motocross rider 5-10-15 years into the future? Seems like their would be too many variables to even come close to anything remotely accurate.

Now you're introducing deeper logic into the equation! I actually agree with you..... Wink But dammit, Iet's stick with over-generalizations for the sake of stirring shit up. It's not like AC or his posse---or any one else----will actually pay attention!

I still believe a quaint could run a series of variable simulations. And, for certain, defining the parameters would be the challenge. But then, that is what Lloyd's has been doing for years, as has the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. I hate to sound like a haggard old capitalist, but unless someone wants to PAY me to run a model, then I'm just going to stick to talking over-generalized shit on the interweb.

Gotta admit, its a provocative idea if you are a businessman........
