Wins two 250 championships in MXGP

Comes to America, wins 2 250SX championships in 3 years. 2nd overall in SMX in 2024, 5 overall wins between SX and MX.

Seemed to be a heads down, hard charging dude.

Best of luck to him across the pond and hope to see him back here on a 450 some day.

Overall decent results, but expected,an mx title and not sx. Deegan kind of broke him in ‘24 outdoors..

Wish he was staying in the US

Sad to see Tom leave.  He did well in the US, 2 SX titles, some MX wins, made some $, always good on the podium, represented KTM and France very well.  Wish him well in MXGP.

Great post, Vialles professionalism is underrated, he has made a great business decision to head back to Europe. Who knows what happens in 2yrs with a lot of USA guys ageing out?

It seems like the expectations for riders these days are crazy high, almost delusional. Either that or most fans just don't care about SX results?

Anyways, Tom going to the US and winning 2 SX titles in 3 years is absolutely insane.
According to interviews that's also where his main focus was, but I also definitely thought he'd win more outdoor races aswell. I think the biggest difference for him is that he went from riding MX the whole winter/year to only 2-3 weeks actual MX testing in the US. It's obviously the same for every rider in the US, but he didn't seem to adapt that well so he could challenge Deegan outdoors.

And you don't win 4 titles by being "lucky", so F the people who badmouth his achievments.

I would have loved to see his 450 progress in the US, but it will also be super cool to see where he'll stack up in MXGP and at least we still get to watch him race a couple 450 SX off season races. Wishing him all the best in his 450 career!

What do you want to call his results that would make you feel better? Great, excellent, good? Same difference…

Two time gp champ performs less than expected outdoors, was gifted the ‘25 title by RJ, and does not have a ride in the US for next year..Clearly everyone else thinks he did less than decent..

"gifted title by RJ". You know Vialle would have won the title with one round to go if he didn't DNF in the mud this year? Also KTM offered him a 450 ride in the US, but he rather took the multi year deal with more money in europe, which is reasonable.

You mean when he got himself stuck in the tower? How about the fact RJ completely wrecked Hammaker twice. Once in the mud race on the start, he hydroplaned tucked the front and went sliding into Hammaker and then the last round, the takeout that wouldn’t have even won him the title. Let’s not forget the games by Beaumer. We could what if all day. He was for sure gifted that title because he wasn’t the best guy that year. I like Tom and I hope he comes back, but he got lucky on the last one.

Who was the best and most consistent guy then in your opinion?

Just some stats for you for the top three east riders:

Vialle: 6 podiums (1x win)
RJ: 5 podiums (1x win)
Seth: 3 podiums (2x wins)

Tell me, who was the best guy in East SX then this year? Because as far as I remember none of these guys were consistent or farming wins.

RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING THANKS TOM VIALLE FOR WINNING YEARS TOGETHER

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing extends its thanks to Tom Vialle following an illustrious seven years together across both Europe and the United States, achieving two MX2 World Championships and a pair of 250SX East Supercross Championships.
Vialle joined the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team ahead of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship season in the MX2 category, finishing fourth in his debut campaign before capturing his first MX2 World Championship in 2020.

The Frenchman would lift his second MX2 World Championship trophy at the conclusion of a thrilling 2022 series, before relocating to North America at the beginning of 2023 to contest the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX), including both the AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross Championships.

After a promising rookie season in the U.S., Vialle fulfilled his goal of becoming a Supercross champion in 2024 onboard the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, before successfully defending his crown when the 2025 championship went down to the wire in Salt Lake City this past May.

The now 24-year-old has also displayed his capabilities outdoors in 250MX, finishing as runner-up in the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. He also finished second in the hybrid-type 250SMX standings that year, before backing his result up with third position in 2025.

Over the past seven seasons, Vialle and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have built an impressive record together, firmly establishing him as one of the most accomplished 250 cc riders of his generation on the global stage.

From 2019 to 2022 in Europe, Vialle amassed 24 MX2 Grand Prix victories, 44 individual Race wins, and 46 overall podium finishes to underline his two MX2 World Championships.

Upon arriving in the United States and achieving his two 250SX East titles, Vialle has claimed three Supercross wins and 18 podium results in 250SX, while earning two-career Pro Motocross 250MX round victories and eight podiums overall. He also has three 250SMX Playoffs/Final podium finishes to his credit.

In addition, Vialle was a key part of Team France's victory at the 2023 FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN), where he won the MX2 category individually with the full support of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.

The entire Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team thanks Tom for his dedication and success and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.

I’m no Tom fan to be honest and was pissed to see him take the title over Hammaker but that is a valid point.

It’s almost like people don’t understand only one rider can win a championship…anyhow, think it was cool for Tom to get out of his comfort zone and come to the US to race. Would’ve like to have seen him on a 450, pretty sure he would’ve been sneaky good like Marv was. Good luck back in Europe Tom!

At the end of the series Vialle had more points than his competition. Full stop. He earned the championship. If we started taking credit away from champions who benefitted from their rivals' misfortune we'd indeed have a very short list of so-called "worthy" champions.

Exactly.  To dismiss "luck", both good and bad in this sport is delusional.   If you win...you're the winner...no buts about it.

Just “well”? You better change that to a pre-approved word to prevents feelings from being hurt in here.

Hey Brad - that's because he did do "great" or "fantastic". He came here without a large amount hype or expectations and won 2 250 SX titles, something only 16 other riders can say in the last 40 years.

He beat Deegan for a SX championship straight up in his second year ever racing supercross. No reason to tear down his accomplishments.

My post wasn't up for debate. It was simply to give Vialle kudos for coming to America, racing supercross, winning TWO SX championships (more than Deegan in the same number of years racing pro SX), and securing a multi year factory HRC ride on a 450 back in MXGP while seeming to be a hard working and humble racer.

He showed up, won, secured the bag and a great contract to race back home.

Congrats to Tom for a helluva ride the past few years! He was a great champion for the 250s both on the world and American stage, and now he can go to work on the big bike stage, maybe grab a couple world titles there and come back to the US and try to match the 250 magic on a 450!

Yep. Race wins can sometimes be lucky, but championships definitely aren't. Nine rounds and he scored the most points. That didn't happen through luck at all.

I feel like Tom is extremely underrated by fans. He seems kind of Dungey’ish. Not to flashy BUT ALWAYS THERE and able to capitalize on others mistakes to rack up wins. It’s not by accident he’s got so many championships.
