I have not spoken to Jorge personally about it, so take my opinion for what it's worth - I think that, psychologically, Jorge is locked in on one of the Austrian bikes no matter what, and that whole steel frame vs. aluminum frame theory may also play a part in it.
Also agreed with @Flatliner that his personality may not mesh well with Star's dynamic...but I assure you it wouldn't be as tumultuous over there as it has been with Deegan since he turned pro.
That would be cool. Reynolds kinda reminds me of Bob Kiniry for some reason, hopefully he gets a shot next year.
Except Anstie is contracted to ride for Star racing next year.
Throw Dean Wilson on the Kawi.
I think this was the domino the industry was waiting to fall before finalizing factory and satellite deals
Damn he looks good on the Suzuki.
I just wish they kept the thing yellow. Looks so good without the black on the bike.
I'm the exact opposite, I think the Twisted Tea bikes are way too much, but Kenny's bike looks great.
The yellow and blue has some RC vibes to it.
all time kit. Not an energy drink logo in sight.
Other similarities:
20 years later, still has a kickstart. 😄
Both guys ride a little loose.
Honestly, people can shit on the kickstart thing, but they still make one of the best looking bikes.
It is THE best looking bike
Is Tomac signed by KTM yet??
If not - and Prada does leave Kawi - would Tomac go back to green???
Yes, the deal had been done for a while now.
Pit Row
Hoping now Anderson isnt Monster he does some awesome helmet designs
Something about a factory Suzuki always gets me blushing.
I believe he'll have Twisted Tea/Progressive helmets so there will still be some restrictions.
So assuming him and Avery Long 250 west coast and outdoors. Will be interesting to see if Mumford can finish a season. This is his 6th team if I'm counting right.
Hopefully the mystery of Mumford doesn’t continue here. Maybe him n ty could team up if he burns this bridge
Colt45 had some cool helmets this year. Is Colt still on the team?
Could the second Kawi spot be split SX/MX, between Justin Hill and Coldenhoff for example?
Put Marchbanks on the Kawasaki team already. You have choices you could fill his spot on the PC team if needed.
Mitch said he'd like for him to get a shot on a 450, but the plan is 250.
Nobody wants to do it because they don’t want to lose their spot on PC if it doesn’t work out in the 450 class. Imagine you say yes, it takes you a little while to acclimated, you’re busting your ass racing for a top 10 against former 250 champions, and you don’t get re-upped because they sign someone faster for the following year. It would be hard to go back down to the 250 class, and your spot at PC might be taken by someone else.
I think Garrett had a good showing on the Club 450, perhaps the Kawi factory ride, with pure training / testing dedication to full-450-status could bring him to the next level? Always been a fan of the kid.
The Jimmy Albertson Suzuki team bikes were perfect in 2016. Yellow from head to tail with the blue accents.
