How was the way he jumped onto that corner jump ruts and all as if it was nothing. Marvin Musquin was even blown away by it.
Also the pass on Coenen on the first lap around the outside.
And the jump into the hole out the back that no one else was doing.
It just keeps getting better by the week
Post the link. @nrosso391 made a salty comment on it too if I’m not mistaken. It was such a magnificent piece of riding.
You need to see the face of that jump to really appreciate that. Completely rutted out mess. When Jett is on it, he doesn't seem to care about OJing jumps. That Showa suspension is working it's ass off. He was sending that ant hill after the finish line. Theres a vid of him OJing a double in the SMX finale by about 40ft. My wrists hurt just watching it
Jett definitely did some unreal things again! At some point I thought he could even go for the win in moto 3, but Tomac and Hunter were already gone.
I also noticed Tomac his line choice through the sand rollers. Jumping over the first roller - which was messed up with ruts and kickers - Malin and JT unfortunately didn't really mention it. That was so awesome to see. You could also hear his Star Yamaha absolutely bark through the track in moto 3. I loved it.
Some other crazy things this weekend:
- Febvre his throttle control in the first turn. And his crafty re-pass on Jett
- Coenen his pass on Shimoda around the outside. Lucas his speed in general was crazy this weekend. That crash in moto 3 really made Hunter his life easier (even though he had Coenen covered speed wise until that time of the race). Team Belgium in general had the speed to get on the podium and battle for the win. Everts was solid, did better then expected. Coenen brothers had just one or two too many crashes. But still really impressive for this young team.
- Pancar, enough said 😉
- Gifting and Guillod. They have speed
- Shimoda! His stock went up to do this on his first American race on a 450
- De Wolf. He also had some unreal lines before and through the sand rollers. Last year he turned it up on the 250, this year he delivered again. He rode with authority and confidence
- Roczen his comeback, quietly back to 12th in moto 3

Unreal save by Jett in the last moto!
Edit: I don’t know if the edited the video or what but it’s hard to see now but he catches he’s feet in the ruts so he almost hits the front fender with his visor. Kinda like chase did but a better outcome.
That bit of film is an example of Jett doing something that 80% of Pro riders would never attempt. Jett does that every lap. Not a hardcore Jett fan, Eli is my guy, but if you cannot see the beauty in his control of the motorcycle at that speed, well, you likely aren’t a true fan of MX. Hats off to Hunter also, a real professional, and nice guy on top of it all !
Really happy I got to see De Wolf in person. Wicked style from a taller, lanky rider. He always looks like hes having fun. After practice finished on Sun he wheelied from the finsh line down the entire following section. From videos I've seen hes always doing things like that.
I thought Lagenfelder would be more impressive considering hes the 250 World Champ. The faster 250 guys had him covered pretty easy. Including JCoop, who hasnt ridden a 250 in a year
His pass on Lucas was incredible.
I thoroughly enjoyed that race. Yea, not the result we were hoping for, but man did we get to watch some absolute top-class motocross racing.
I feel like Eli, RJ, and even Prado at home were thinking "do you MXGP guys get what we have to deal with now??" I was curious to see if the Euros would make Jett finally look human, like maybe our level over here has just gone down but, no, that third moto showed what we've all been thinking.
Yeah, I saw that comment too. Then saw that he’s got a guy wanting to hurt him… 😆

I just wanted to say that this paragraph explains the appeal of the Lawrence brothers perfectly. I am looking forward to the Coenen brothers arrival in the States to take them on.
Just one tiny move. So the same as every other rider on the track? Normal rules? Show us on the doll where Jett hurt you.
Found a better clip of the save I posted earlier!

Reminds me of when James made this pass at Freestone in 08, just smashing into the face of the second jump like it's no big deal.

Dont even need to watch the clip and I remember it. He sends it past Milsaps like hes standing still. Why do we have photographic memories of mx moments like this from almost 20yrs ago but I forget my gf of 10yrs birthday? 😂 😂
This is GREAT! And I did NOT lie. All riders, escpecially RJ, are one tiny adjustment away from disaster. PS: I've been doing this line on MX Bikes for over a year now...old news. 🤣 Glad to see I live rent free in Y'alls heads.
BTW..Tomac is already the "Alien". ET3 guys. Stop trying to rewrite history.
In all fairness, every single guy out there is one small mistake away from a potential big injury. Especially at their speeds. Not that any of us want to see that, fan or not.
Pit Row
The guy is a Jedi. Jedi Jett.
Holy smokes, how in the world did he save that?!?!?!?
Between this and his save at Paris through the whoops in practice last year, I don't know what to think. Un-freaking-believable.
I like it. I was thinking over the weekend that Jett really needs a nickname. I was thinking something along the lines of a kangaroo because of the way he just hops around the track but Jedi Jett is way cooler.
Tell us more about Nick Millers hatred towards you.

Here's the thing about Jett. What's his weakness???
Every other great has had a weakness. RC's was the whoops and supercross early on. Stew had amazing speed but crashed a lot. Dungey was super consistent but his bike had to be in a narrow window. MC struggled outdoors.
Again, where's Jett's weakness? Fitness is as good as anyone. His starts? check. Speed? Double check. Sand, hardpack, rough, fast, slow & technical, mud? check, check, check, check.... There are no situations where other riders think "ok, this is my chance to capitalize on him". He literally makes you beat him in all aspects of the sport.
Thats what I was saying. Every guy on the gate is one mistake away from disaster
his uphill double around that corner was sick as fuck too
Nrosso391 has an irrational dislike of Jett. But threatening a complete stranger with violence because he critiqued your favorite rider is insane. Having to watch Jett rewrite the history books the next decade is punishment enough for him. I'd buy him a beer and chop it up with him if we were at the same race. This stuff isnt that serious
Maybe I was reading into it too much ? I got the feeling that this Nick guy and NRosso391 know each other. Kinda seemed like Nick might of stole his Ex ? lol
MC's struggle with outdoors was not wanting to do it. However, he was literally the fastest outdoor guy in the world for a bit there.
Anyway, Jett has no real weakness at this point. He has not really been exposed in a way where anyone is going to be able to shake him... Not yet anyway.
Oh yeah I glossed over the single Dad comment. 😂 Oh boy
MC struggled outdoors until he decided to apply himself. Stew crashed for a few reasons , but one of them was winning wasn't enough, and he wanted to crush everyone. Backing off wasn't in his vocabulary.
Jett has looked mortal when his setup is a bit off. We don't really know how he compares to the best riders when it comes to real whoops because they've neutered them. He did struggle in the whoops at bercy last season in practice. I'm picking James when it comes to riding a bike that isn't the best, and making it look much better than it actually is.
