Congrats on the new ride, wonder how the new bike will compare to the power house bikes of the GP scene? What type of exhaust for the new ride? Regardless best of luck to him!

Every rider who started season in British championship with Husky in mx2 (6) exept 1 throw them away after a few races. 1 mx 2 bike become 2 bikes once....1 started in mx1 and gave up after half season due to enginefailure all time. The Italian told the riders and teamowners that they never had any problems and the mx2 bikes was standard in Emx (European champ) So good luck because you gonna need a lot of it! A ton probaly? Heck! you gonna need black belt in good luck!

Alex Salvini finished second in the MX3 championships on the Husky. Won multiple motos also. But yeah the MX2 bike is unproven.

That Bud Kawi was nothung but DNF´s, I´m sure Husqy can build a factory bike that will perform. They have looong ass traditions in the GPs and now how much work needs to be done

Sure! the weight is 117 kilo. The factory husky... And Leib gonna need a blackbelt lawayer when he's gonna get his salary after some time...........They are Italian dude! Tell him to go home when salary is 2 weeks late. They pay when it's time to enter flight. Everybody in Gp buisiness knows that exept a unknowing American. Why do not anyone else of all riders take it? They rather pay to get a spot somewhere else. 1 shitbike 2 shitteam. Anyone knowing Lieb? Tell him to be careful.....

Team Ricci is not some second class team. Like ATKpilot99 says Husqvarna did pretty good in the MX3 class. Husqvarna's parent company is BMW and I am pretty sure they do have some financial clout and do have the will to succeed.

Big, I see it says your from Sweden. Is your view on Husqvarna maybe some ill feelings when Husky moved to Italy?

Congrats to Leib on his new ride.

If we really want the sport to grow, we need to embrace deals like this.

I am a new Leib fan.

I sure hope it goes well,I'm a fan of Lieb as he showed flashes of good things last season under harsh circumstances, hopefully that Husky will be a step along in progress from last year,if things go tits up,I'd say he'd pick up a ride elsewhere anyhow hopefully on a British team Wink

I hope Leib has a super season. He's following in the footsteps of some great Americans riding Huskys in the GPs: Mark Blackwell, Billy Clements, Brad Lackey, Mike Guerra... I'm probably missing some here.

Yeah, the bikes are made in Italy, it's a different era, BMW, four strokes, blahblahblah. I still say it's a great opportunity for a young American racer. Go Michael Leib!

Having watched Michael go from 65's 10 years ago to GP's this year I hope he does great in 2011. It will not be from lack of training or drive as the kid works his butt off and is SELF motovated to a fault of maybe being to hard on himself. He's 19 years old and living the dream of most of you on here??? So my hats off to him for staying focused after all his injurys and not just following his dreams but chasing them down so they happen! Hope he turns heads in 2011 and holds the flag high.

If you would like to read what Michael has to say check out his blog http://mleib170.blogspot.com/ He wrote this last one on Nov 1st and rode the bike two more days last week in Italy before coming home. He likes the bike, the guys at Ricci Racing and the team of engineers and racing managment at Husky. He knows that there will be challenges but he is fully prepared to tackle them with a postive attitude.

Great blog and write up I was amazed to hear Albertson saying outside of riding he didn't do much. Italy is beautiful and it's great to see Michael is making the most of it! tell him to head to Rome it's amazing to see things like the coliseum and imagine the ancient life there.

Ricci was one of the main team for Yamaha and ithink it's actually great that he rides for Ricci and not the Factory directly. Ricci has something to prove and to lose if this doesn't work so you can be sure he's going to get this engine working. Probably won't be good enough to win compared to the KTM but hopefully he can be consistently in the top 10

I rode them early 80s and loved them. I even parked one in my kitchen =)But that was when cheese where sold in packages looking like rocketships. Today the Husky looks like it...Lieb is a fantastic rider but they will give him trouble if he don't doing results with the slowest 250 on the planet. Of course i'll hope i'm proven wrong but i'll doubt that. The 250 runs like a 3-stroke! Dont tell me Hva sounds sharp?

What I know is the factory MX2 bike has a different cylinder head. I'm not sure what the other race bikes are running. Rocket will have a pipe for the 2011 TC250 soon.

No. It will probably break in two pieces. or get stuck in my fatass. Last time was a 450 Honda real slow and safe doing a one-hand on startstraight. Thats it.
