New Season idea

They won't do less races in total..too much money to be made.

I think they need to change the points of smx though. I like Daniel Blair's sons idea. Personally I would like to see it 5 rounds minimum, but if they won't do that than do this with the 3 round format.

Your point standing in mx and sx count towards your beginning points in smx. 1-1 in sx and  outdoors starts you with 50 points as you start smx. I would still do this for the 250 class even with regional racing.

Round 1 is a 1 main event race on a track that is 65% sx, 35% mx. Points pay out for 1 race (25,22,20, etc)

Round 2 is a 2 moto format with a track that is 65% mx and 35% sx. You are awarded points for each moto.

Round 3 is a triple crown where you are awarded points for each race and its on a track thats 50% sx and 50% mx. This would keep thing interesting through the last main.  It also keeps it at a 6 main series, like it is now, but there would be a little more emphasis on your points for sx and mx and might encourage guys to race more mx, if healthy. If they only race a select number of races in mx they could be at a huge points deficit starting smx.

Also, it makes the most amount of points for smx 200, which is a nice Round number. Maybe if someone wins all 200 points, they get another $100k. Think about it, they would have won all 3 championships and all 6 main events/motos of smx.

Let’s do some UEFA football type stuff and have a champions league thrown in too. Kind of like an individual mxdn.

Why Pala? 

SX and MXGP are too long. 12 rounds tops for each. Then 10 Pro Motocross rounds. No one really cares about SX between rounds 5 and fifteen.

Keep the same amount of races (17+11+3).... 

Supercross:  Count the riders best 14 scores/finishes (will allow time for injury or sickness or burnout) or they can continue to race and block other riders from bettering scores. (Feld doesn't lose money by cutting actual number of races and riders have the choice to skip races if needed).

Motocross: Same idea... have all 11 rounds on the schedule but only count the riders best 8 scores finishes.

This could potentially bring the title fight closer at the end with the potential number of riders having better finishes.

I like the Blair son single-double-triple race deal for the 3 round SMX thingee.

This is a total pipe dream but, I would love to see some investment go into a dedicated stadium or two. With the upward trend of viewership and the continued success of Monster Jam, I think they could find a welcoming home for a dedicated venue. Build it bigger than football stadiums and purposely design it for SX/MX/Hybrid layouts. They can hold an SX triple crown there. They could hold the finals there. If we ever get into another wild world health situation it can be the residency. If they find the right location, they could even split costs with AMA Pro Racing and use it as a start finish line/fan section for a GNCC race. 

Last race should be everyone taking off at once going up Suicide Hill!

I like the counting of best finishes for the playoffs, but maybe let the regular SX and MX titles be decided by counting all the rounds like it currently is. So maybe we can just count the best 22 results of the 28-race regular season to determine playoff seeding so guys can actually take a week off if they get knocked out with a concussion. And it would suit a guy more who completes the whole SX season but missed the last six MX races. 

I would love the Supercross series to be shortened by 2 rounds but I can't imagine Feld would be willing to drop 2 races unless there are 2 obvious rounds that don't perform that well compared to the rest. Best case that seems like it could be even close to in the realm of possibility:

15 round Supercross Series, 11 round Pro Motocross Series (with Glen Helen replacing Pala), 3 Round SMX with 1 Motocross Round that rotates between national tracks, 1 Supercross Round at the LA Coliseum or Vegas, and the Final at Daytona.

Rumor has it Daytona is interested in hosting one so that should be easy, they had the Final at the Coliseum in 2023 so that seems doable, and the national tracks would, I'm sure, be stoked to host a round. I think that lineup would be a million times better than the dragstrip nonsense.
