Same here, I was actually born in Santa Rosa California, but we moved up here when I was 3 months old. Never thought that I would ever consider moving out of this state, but I’ve been thinking a lot , that this place ain’t for me anymore.    SMH

Since this is actually a jobs thread, Newscum single handedly ruined the film industry here to a point where it will never be what it was because he thought it couldn't live without CA. Dude ruined 1000's of family's because he thought he was bigger than the industry.  He can fuck all the way off until he hits the end of the road, then keep going.

Seattle is a mess. Portland OR too. Just total hell holes.

Washington state has been controlled by a mostly unelected and unaccountable GOVERNMENT for too long.

While the democratic ideology may be our enemy, democrats as individuals are not.

It is the institutions of government that allow mostly unelected and those that are elected, illegitimately elected, politicians to assume a roles of power that allow for these scumbags to control our lives.

These democrats you blame are only minor players Banyan. You need to hate the game

It's very unfortunate that he's trying to ruin some of the best real estate in the Nation.  People have been fleeing for years and he just doesn't get it. Sounds like WA is headed down the same path.

About these jobs, I'm hearing that there are more job openings than job applicants. Yet, for the last 3-4 years I've been "instant declined" when filling out applications constantly - not 1 single bite. Forklift driving jobs, sales staff jobs, Q.C. inspector positions, shelf stockers, upper level management, you name it. No exaggeration, 20+ applications for 7-8 companies. I'm declined for the position, but the job listing stays up for weeks or months. Something isnt adding up. To test the waters, I've listed laughably low wage requirements before, just to see if I could get an interview or callback, and nothing. The books are cooked, the jobs I see posted CAN NOT be real, or these companies really DON'T WANT these positions filled.

Can you break that down for me? I would like to know how, in which sectors, what exactly is worse.  Specifically core goods percentage change, income ratio, consumer goods, credit card debt change percentage etc.  When you give that information out, then you can make the claim. Until then, your just another disgruntled person on the internet spewing BS

Late Feb 2021 the economy Crashed hard . I went to Chicago to get truck 5 & sign the contract. Lease payment went to 3,500 a week. I said I,m out . I,ll drive a co trk 1099 still , it was a Very cheap spect trk but not a total pike like the rest. Fuel was going up b4 I switched . Md. Was the highest 6.89 no one got fuel in Md. the gov dropped some fuel tax then you where limited to 400 bucks. I ran the ne doing shorter runs 6 per mile was my  average. They had drivers that ran i10,20 for 1.30 . Winter storm get a ld to the se then head back to the ne. Mpg 3.7 so I did not make much fixed expenses / payments where Real high . It was higher because I signed a walk away lease. The Serbians said sorry budda no co available but we hv these leases. Bs.  My dispatcher lived in Serbian he’s an attorney but they don’t make beans. He said how  did you know it was crashing ?  A lot of reasons co.s that run 23-50 hrs straight sitting would b the 1.  I know master degree people in the industry that where shocked by my rate with a safety rating of 98, they lost there authority. They said the same late Feb 21 the party was over. 18 months later the whole country is supposed to crash . But it was never reported .  22 was real bad 23,24 50 k bankruptcy a week.  A lot of w2 co.s too there operating off of 200 mil loans. They keep showing g loses then the loans r cut off & there shut down. Other w2 co.s are just sit down some been around 70 yrs. Aprox 700k warehouses where built because they thought people woukd flock to big box stores. They never did because the hand out money was gone. And they struggled to make ends meet . Add crazy inflation remember food goes up & never comes down .  A positive is it’s a buyers market now because people’s possessions r only worth Pennie’s on a dollar. Most co.s out here r illegal 1099,s with illegals driving. There only in buisness for a short time then gone.

Seattle is worse than so Ca. As far as woke weirdness. Portland is disgusting , LA area homeless situation is crazy . When byden took office everyone cashed out there 401k,s to crash the stock market & it went up. So the market is fixed. Trucking industry cut the west off . Byden brought in 700k illegal co.s    I just did a run to Phoenix i40 had numerous bad truck wrecks trailers cut in 2 , trucks smashed to hell . In the middle of nowhere in the desert.  I 40 is a goat trail to

What are you seeing on the ground? I'm seeing budgets tightening, prices rising, sales down across many different sectors; Industrial, restaurants, retail, vacation rentals, home sales, everything. Some retail items are on sale because inventory isn't moving.

Definitely NOT. I've been trying to buy a house for 4 years now and Biden Admin made it literally 300% worse to buy a house. Interest rates skyrocketed 4% right when I was bidding on houses and pushed me out of my own price range and house availability. Then everyone added $20k on top of the house price to bribe the owner into picking them. Now they claim that extra bullshit markup is part of the home value when it shouldn't be. So now all houses are overpriced for what they are. Maybe the reason 70 y/o are buying houses is because their $8000 original purchase 4 Bed, 2 Bath 2000 sq ft house in 1955 now has a value of $420k..so they can sell, get a bigger house and have 80% paid off right away. Under 35 doesn't have that kind of asset just laying around.

If you just made coffee at home and stopped getting door dash you could have bought a house the day you were born just like those 70 year olds.

But seriously, the money printer went brrrr well before old joe was sworn in. If you didn't get a cut of it, then better luck next time. Maybe the economy will crash and every job will be paying $10 an hour or less again like when I was 27, that really sucked.

Looks like two more cuts re projected before the end of the year in addition to days quarter point.

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve cut interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point on Wednesday and indicated it will steadily lower borrowing costs for the rest of this year, as policymakers responded to concerns about weakness in the job market in a move that won support from most of President Donald Trump's central bank appointees..."

It's not just that interest rates went up, it's that house prices went up 2-3X or more in the last 5-10 years. Add in higher taxes on their valuation, higher insurance, higher electric rates, higher gas rates. Even in shitty Ohio where I live house prices are ridiculous, alot of people are just stuck where they are because they can't afford to move even if they do sell their house.

I could see if interest rates drop significantly and they lower government oversight, a lot of people refinancing their house for a higher principle that it's worth now, spending that money then skipping out on the loan causing the bubble to burst like it did in '08.

Low interest rates created cheap money, that for the last 20 years have pushed house prices and share markets up around the world, not just the US.

The Fed's rate cut today will continue this trend.

The employers only want to hire worker opportunity tax credit people. To get the government hand out free money . Since the 07 economy crash general society saw it in late 08.  Trucking industry went from exp #1 priority hire to the bottom of the hire list. Military is #1 priority hire because there the biggest tax credit .even tho they never drove a mi & don’t do well working on there own& hv a high% wreck index. They spent millions to design an air electronic computer controlled transmission. Just for military because most of them could not shift a manual transmission.  Even a special license for them . There not allowed to drive a manual transmission. Now that’s F ing stupid .  We fired in 3 days or they quit the 1st day because they couldn’t hang every Marine on the strongest  hhg rig . We flew dozens of them to work none of them worked out. . Military illusion of bs .we rate then in the same category as a Somalian .  Wotc , dei then hires minorities , x cons , state aid welfare , food stamps ,10 categories of Bums .   70-90!yrs olds living in trucks at low paying co.s because the higher paying jobs are for Bums. But w2 wages are much lower than the 70,s. I called co.s for 3 weeks a couple just blew engines & could not afford a engine, it’s all ovr Chicago that if u threaten to kill this guy he doesn’t get scared & stands up to ya. Tight knit group thry know I pulled co.s into court to get paid too .  6 decades exp trained by a Lt Cornel at the biggest pipeline co in the world in charge of the strongest hhg rig trk line means nothing .  I did a app on ttr for w2 jobs got a call within a min will u drive for 40k a yr ?  Haha is this 1990 ? I looked into manufacturing jobs in gb wages 22-29’forcswing shift changes every week . Very slow to hire if at all big lay offs are coming for these bums too.70 yr old  Carrol fuller a LTL co should’ve been making bank went bankrupt, 2 months ago . There base in Fl. But are everywhere . Davies a se reefer co been around along time too , shutdown did not make any money tge last 3 yrs.
