Lake Whitney

One of the most rare photos of David Bailey, out of shape at the last 250 AMA Pro National at Whitney in 83.

That's me behind him late in the 1st moto. I'd like to say we were battling for a podium, but I was  being lapped. Went down hard on the first lap on the step up after the sweeper.

I wish I could say I was fast enough to have raced on the same track as DB.

My first and only time I got to race Lake Whitney, 2007 Spring Classic Warm Up Race in February. Was an awesome experience and awesome track! Got lapped by Tomac and Lance Vincent in my supermini moto. Believe this was over the finish line.

That's not true. At least anymore.my family owns the track

Do you ride the track or is it all weeds ? 
We did the spring classic in ‘05-‘07, such a rad place 

In 93' I went to a 3 day Christian MX camp at Lake Whitney taught by Kevin Windham, Robbie Reynard, and Jeff Dement. Kevin had just signed his Yamaha contract on 125s and Robbie was on Factory Kawi going into his second year as a pro. Jerry Surber's (owner of GNC) wife did the church service part at night. That was an amazing experience. 

So your parents own this land and you are on a motocross site and no insight on why this property will never open back up. Please explain what is going on with this land please.

I graduated in 1980 and got married in 1982. Still married 42 years

We're racing 80's in that 1982 picture, so you're even older than me!  haha

Cheers to 42 years, my wife and I just celebrated 24 years few days ago.
