Does he skip SMX and get an early start on heading back home?  He looked amazing at Ironman.  I'm a bit baffled that his set up could be so off that he doesn't ride the 2nd moto at Budds.

He must have a health issue.

According to Ian Harrison, Vialle decided to call it a day after moto 1 because “he lacked confidence in his setup”…

Yeah…Weird.

his shock broke or expired moto 1. Third time this season
Or at least so I was told, not sure if it's true. But that's maybe why

Maybe he caught a bad case of “ I quit, don’t give a shit “ from Mr. Prado !

I’m honestly surprised how everyone who has mentioned this has been overwhelmingly downvoted. This has to be the most egregious “not comfortable” ever.

Vialle and Prado should ride my worn-out 1999 KX250! It pops, sputters, and does what it wants, never consistently. Maybe a few motos a week on my bike will get them “comfortable being uncomfortable.” Haha.

Apparently Ken Roczen decided to “sit out” both motos at Budds Creek. I was looking forward to seeing him ride; when he announced his return at Unadilla, I assumed he was going to race Budds as well.

Anyone know why he didn’t race this round?

He wasn’t there. I just don’t understand why, since he said he wanted some gate drops.

Feel like can't judge this one without knowing whether the shock thing is true. If he really blew a shock for the third time in first moto then I don't really blame him. Just like i said with chase, contracts work both ways and pretty sure bike that won't put you on the ground is part of the deal.

Almost on cue, sexton himself weighs in.

Can't win. If he did that he'd just get accused of blaming the bike and not taking accountability.

The latest crop of Euros to come over are a little weak it would appear.  I also think Sexton is haunting himself.

That's outrageous. It's basically just a variant of the person who does fuck all for the last week in the office when they're moving to a new job. Harrison should have some slapped some confidence back into him and told him to get on the track...

Which one of the 3 broken shocks should he have slapped him with?

Your comment is outrageous with existing context 😄

From the PR:

Progressive Insurance Ecstar Suzuki rider Ken Roczen decided to sit out both motos today at Budds Creek after deciding he couldn't be fucked.

Can someone tell these riders not to weigh in on social media comments. This kind of 'engagement' doesn't help anything.

I really don't know how much more evidence it's going to take before people accept that ktm group has had some major suspension issues this year. RJ, barcia, sexton, vialle...... pretty broad range of experienced guys all alluding to the same thing but people don't want to believe it for some reason. Sexton had that weird cooling thing on his bike early in supercross. Can hardly blame guys if their factory team can't solve a problem after 8 months and 28 races.

Shitty way to end the season for Tom, and a career in the U.S. Wish this year had gone much better for him.

I get trying to continue to improve but last years outdoor set up was on point. Why make a major change, instead of some small incremental change that can be rolled back if issues present themselves? RJ might have had issues but he was able to race all the motos. I’m a huge sexton fan, and can’t imagine the mind games he’s going through after blowing the SX championship, but from the outside it does look like he quit outdoors this year. And it looks like Tom quit this weekend. Sorry for the negative takes, but if you want us to think differently then give us some feedback

I don't disagree with anything you're saying i just think it's more complicated than when I quit my job at subway in college because I wanted to go to a baseball game instead of work one afternoon. I think both things are true. There are issues, and the issues contribute to guys making the decision to shut it down.

I have no idea how they got so far off from last year or why they're having issues this year. Seems crazy to be struggling with an issue like shock fade, an issue that's been around longer than these riders have been alive.
