Time for my annual 4th of July / circling of the earth around the sun update. Sadly this makes 4.... I knew it was coming up again so had to get a few things done at least for my own sanity so I started on the wheels. Going to build 2 sets, one for sand & one for soft tracks. I'll have one set built with custom hubs & the other set special OEM hubs (more on that later). SKF rear bearings & seals but for the fronts I may go ahead & try some lighter weight ceramic ones. Titanium spokes for one set & SS for another set, both alloy nipples. Using Hoosier & Pirelli for the tires as I believe I already documented the weights of those earlier. Got a few different tubes here though so figured I would weigh them for you guys & post. Quite a bit of difference so I should pick up a bit more weight savings than I originally anticipated :D

Side note - did Billy finish that 150 smoker? Asking for a friend....😝

I'm real happy for you Billy (I think... LoL)  Laughing

Now I gotta get my but in gear if I want to try & get this one done before yours! All jokes aside, good to see you are close to the finish line as well buddy.

Oh where do I start. Well how about when it rains it pours & when it pours it floods...... 😭 Basically I have no real updates as we got f-ing hammered by Hurricane Helene🤬 Not only did it flood my house here in FL (as did our entire neighborhood), that same damn storm went north & decided to dump millions of gallons up in the mountains of NC & wouldn't you know it also flooded my other house in Lake Lure. Needless to say it was a $hitty ending to 2024. I lost a ton of tools, house stuff & a bunch of bike parts here in FL but luckily we raised our house a few years ago which really saved us.

As for NC, everything in the boathouse was gone & it also managed to flood the laundry room / kids bunk room. Fortunately it didn't go high enough to get up into the main cabin area though or sweep the entire thing away like some of my neighbors houses. All the destruction up there was just unimaginable. It blew my mind as you just can not comprehend the forces at work to make something like this happen.

A few FL pics:

I'll post & explain more here shortly when I get a chance to find additional pics & have some free evening time.

Just wanted to let everyone know who is still following this ungodly long build that I am still building it, just real slow. I had to but life stuff back together first. Sorry this is taking so long guys as I am also to blame for the delay. The past is the past & I am moving forward!!!
