Blonix. Don’t think they make them anymore because they leaked real bad.
Dropped my tank off at the machine shop today.

Nice Z👍🏻 You know I kinda posted that video for you too... 😎
LMK what the damage is going to be for them😁

I contacted Blonix about the cap, probably two years ago or longer and couldn't get one. Then I found a machine shop that was making something similar and they weren't making theirs any longer either.

Started making one myself and ended up scraping it and turned it into a shock seal head tool. LOL.

Good evening guys, hope everyone is doing well. Figured I would update the group as to how things are progressing.
My update is: little progress has been done 😖
Just been super slammed at night trying to box up my garage & workshop so not a lot has been accomplished on the bike. Some parts did come in but they got packed away before I could take pics so no fun there. I’ll take some pics as I unbox everything at the rental house.

On a positive note I found a box full of polishing pads I forgot I had so if you guys are needing some hit me up. I can sell them A LOT cheaper that that guy on YouTube 🤣LoL

Also I wanted to see if anyone has 1, 2 or even 3 spare 18mm KYB Yamaha shock shafts they would be willing to part with or trade. I ordered several to do some testing on but they are back ordered until January 😫 They preferably need to be stripped & ready to coat but I can knock off the clevis if need be. If you have any I will make it worth your while...😎

Oh & pumpkins are done:

Had some setbacks last night as the storm got us & the neighborhood...

At 12:30 last night I was moving stuff off the floor & jacking the car 10” off the ground while laying in water. Then over to work on securing all the house doors by stuffing towels in all the seams to keep the water out!

The Rental.... We just finally got everything over from the old house last week (as they start construction Monday) so everything was in boxes on the floor...🤦‍♂️ I was scrambling to take stuff inside, stack wet cardboard boxes on dry plastic stuff, then push the car FW a few feet & jack it up. In 30 minutes it went from a slightly wet garage floor to over 5” deep! I was laying in water jacking up the Trans Am but as soon as I got it up it stopped rising. About 2am it started to recede so I got out the scotch, took a hot shower & passed out at 3am. It was a long night but the kids never woke up once even with all the rain & noise!
About 9am the water was low enough in the street (still up to the bottom of the door!) to take the truck over to the old house (street pics I posted). Water had come about 1/2 way up the driveway but the house was totally fine. Still had about 2 feet to spare from the looks of it. The water did come up over the seawall so my the dock box & jet ski floated away in the night! Someone on the next door app posted a seadoo had washed up on their dock about 20 houses down the canal so we somehow got that back that afternoon. The box was on my neighbors dock so somehow all was accounted for!!! 🤯

It’s still a big work in progress but here are a few. Been very hard balancing family, the kids, my MX build & finishing the TA... So is life though :-)

After many years of trying to bring this product to market or just make one prototype set for myself happen, this has finally arrived.... 😎 Anyone want to guess the material used? I’ll give you a hint, it was 61% of the weight of the ss set.

That is amazing. Will you be building an ultra light wheel set?

Yes sir. Everything going on this bike will be weighed & compared to other options to find the lightest part while still remaining functional & having high safety standards.

Found some more weight savings for the wheels 😎

If I get real ambitious I may mill them out a tiny bit more. The burnt/rainbow titanium stud is a nice touch.

Warp 9 Ti rims clocks. Good move. Can't believe we don't see those more often on these trick, weight saving builds. I guess the MP composite locks are pretty close in weight and just more commonly known.

Yep I agree Mr Robinson. I think the MP’s are actually a little bit lighter (2.15” weighs only 68 grams (2.4 ounces), 1.60” weighs only 35 grams (1.2 ounces)) but to your point the W9’s just seem more trick so I pulled the trigger on those 😎

Yep, dems be da ones 😎

I tried forever to bring these to market with no success. Dealing with overseas mfg, language barriers, sample lead times & the biggest & most important QUALITY issues it was driving me nuts. It was one thing after another; I could get the pricing down but quality always sucked due to different alloys & heat treating. Finally after a chance conversion with Kevin a long time ago he told me he had the solution! I won’t go into all the details & propriety info on them but he has the answer. At $500 a set they are not cheap but if you want the best these are it.

Nice work! interested to see what you end up with.

Have you or anybody else ever weighed a Bare Aluminium YZ250 frame? if so how much did it weigh? I want to compare with the bare steel frame I have in my shed right now.
