I 100% believe there’s been big issues with the bike, but today’s on Prado.
He still has speed, qualifying the last two weeks shows that, but in today’s 1st moto he simply gave up.
2nd moto, after a bad start, he just looked to not be trying.

Donnie Schmit was the last stud to go over seas and do a flex down.

He was one determined guy. He took me out one time to get in front of me.

* Donny was a STUD ! I can’t believe it’s almost been 30 years since his death.

Bobby Moore did the same in the 125 class and runner up on the 250’s. Bobby is the last American to win a Championship in the GP’s.

That's what I've been saying for awhile. Maybe there's a clause stating that if Kawi get rid of him, Jorge won't have to pay the buy out fee. Hence, Jorge riding around with the midpack carpet biters.

Lol, so much hate sarcasm in this thread. If it was Tomac, who gave up last week riding like a spode, you'd all be blaming Yamaha. Oh wait, last week y'all you 'mericans covered for him saying the bike was 💩.

You just wanted to bash “Americans” or as you say “y’all you ‘mericans”… huge difference between Tomac and Prado!.  Spreading hate yourself…. I see! Do better!

Such a bummer. I figured he’d have ups and downs but I thought he’d at least be a factor up front every once in awhile.

The bike might not be exactly what he wants but it’s certainly good enough to do better than he’s been doing.

The flip-side to consider... What if you're the rider, watching your diet, following a training plan to the nth degree, taking early nights, not living life because you need to take rest hours, only to turn up and find the team haven't given you what you've asked for?? Im not saying my 'take' is correct, but we need to keep an open mind that just maybe, what he's telling the press about the bike being bad might just be right..

Nope. He was promised his bike from the US and a bunch of other stuff that they didn’t give him. He still won either way.

There’s a lot of unknown stuff that went on that weekend RV won the MXGP.

The riders were pretty much in protest about poor facilities, poor fuel, poor medical cover- none of them were interested. I think there was a video of Desalle sitting on his bike after Moto 1 holding it on the limiter with it misfiring like a bitch in a display of the fuel they’d been supplied was no good! Tommy Searle said there was no way he was hitting the big jumps with the unreliable fuel they were using.
RV took full advantage of it to click off two wins.
He couldn’t get close when the others weren’t in protest.

All enjoyed bashing Prado? Let me ask you a question: What are "the big" results from Jason Anderson on that green bike and where is he now? Sometimes a team works hard but doesn't get any results because of politics, ego, ... examples: Kawasaki 450 in the USA, Yamaha 450 in Europe. Both bikes are competitive if you look over the pond.

You could ask yourself what results Kawasaki has got since signing Davi Millsaps and Will Hahn...

No clue? Prado has been telling everyone what the  issue is all season, some of y’all just don’t want to hear it. AND he has praised the team along the way. Still 6th overall in points. How many more pages are y’all going to keep beating this dead horse?

The U.S. is too fast for him compared to the slower sand tracks of the GP’s. It is what it is

Obviously there's a bunch of politics/clauses/money at play, but I think Kawi need to zoom out and look at the potential damage Prado is doing to the brand. By "standing by him" and "working with him and the bike" while he clearly continually throws the towel in, its showing that Kawi will accept underperformance on a consistent basis. If he was on Star he'd have long been benched/dropped. I think both sides are playing contracts.

20 motos deep into the season, with barely 1 moto result to be happy about.

Does Prado even considering doing SMX?
I don’t think he will ride MXdN for Spain either, he even mentioned that himself in an interview a month ago.

I must admit that I had some high hopes of him going to America. Maybe not doing success in SX first year but I really thought he would come out swinging in the Nationals. Maybe not beating Jett but to compete and fight with Tomac, Hunter and Chase. I really can’t believe what we’re witnessing in the last couple of months. He doesn’t look like the same rider he once was. I thinks it’s really sad and hard to watch.

Matthes talked to someone in the kawi circle and mentioned its done after nationals.

I think he is heading Redbull KTM on a bonus deal and Fox money.

Are you saying they wouldn’t give their all because circumstances weren’t ideal? There might be a trend here..

I’m joking but Villopoto had to deal with all the same things everyone else did so I don’t know why you’re trying to discredit that win.

At this point I feel he should probably park the bike for the last round,  before he embarrasses himself or the team any further. It’s sad to see. I don’t care what you may think about the speed of MXGP vs AMA, a 4 time world champion should not be fading from the lead to just inside the top 20. Other former GP riders are doing just fine, the speed of the tracks isn’t an issue. He’s said it himself; motocross is motocross. He should be fighting for podiums & wins every weekend.

I’m not sure whether it’s mental, physical, the bike, or a combination of the three but he looks nothing like the Prado of 2024 who had a fairly dominant MXGP season. I hope his career can recover from this disastrous season, he can fix whatever is wrong and show his true potential.

If it’s not already, the situation back at the truck has to be becoming untenable. What does he even say when he gets back to the pits? What does the team say? It’s just gotta be tense as hell.

as a euro i allways wanted him to do well and have previously defended him by saying its not him, its the bike.

i cant back him any longer, plain and simple, its not the bike, the bike does not represent his results, he needs to take a long look in the mirror

RV butted heads with KRT by not using their GP settings and data they had gathered for years on the tracks and equipment they had been developing. RV was use to the AMA regulated  equipment and was unwilling to adapt to one off works equipment and his lack of knowledge in actually developing a bike from ground up was apparent.

if prado had been allowed to start on a 250 in america ..... the chance of success would have been much higher .....he could have gotten used to the circuits and supercross on a 250 is a much easier than on a 450.....

I don’t think Roczen’s interested of switching to KX. Why not Ferrandis? He has experience of the green bike when he was riding MX2 in Europe a couple of years ago. He did really well yesterday, came from the couch just as Ken but he also passed Ken and gapped him in the second moto. When things clicking for Ferrandis he is fast as f**k.
