I know Chuck didn’t steal the engines because they don’t burn premix!

Was the truck parked in the pit area, or at a Motel or Truck Stop when they were taken?

Hotel near IND.

It doesn’t mater what type racing, thieves follow them all.  Same for Bass fishing tournaments.  It cost more to rig electronics for a Tournament bass boat than buying a new MX bike.   Thieves follow all the big fishing circuits.  Hotel security cameras have slowed some of it down.  You have to take your rods and electronics in the room, just like lots of guy do with their bikes.

Low like thugs will steal anything.  Thieves even follow deer and elk hunters during season knowing there may be a pistol, expensive hunting gear or rifles in a truck, trailer and even hotel rooms.  My buddy had his pistol stolen off a night stand in his motel room in Larado years back.  He woke up as the guy was going out the door.  The guy picked the lock or got the door unlocked somehow.

Breaking in knowing someone in the room is probably armed!! Brainless m/fers. I bet your buddy wished he woke up sooner.

My buddy, actually my hunting partner.  We were hunting whitetail deer across the border in Northeast Mexico years back.  We had permits for our hunting rifles but pistols were not permitted.  He would go down a day early, check into a hotel and have the hotel keep his pistol in a lock box, contracts for his inspection company etc.  He said when he woke up first thing he did was reach for his pistol on the night stand but it was gone.  He said the guy had been in his room for a while.  He’d looked through his luggage and etc.  He could see his pistol in the guys hand as he went out the door.  He took something else but I can’t recall, been to many years.

I know Glen Johnson, owner of Ultimate Motocross.  Years back he ran/worked at Rio Bravo MX.  Glen has some stories about all the bikes and equipment that would get stolen at Rio Bravo.  Which is North Houston, not far from some rough parts of Houston.  Couple years back a guy posted his new Honda was stolen at Rio Bravo right out under his nose practically.  He said he walked about a hundred feet from his truck to talk to a buddy, turned around and bike was gone.

Thieves will steal the steeple off a church and some are really good at it too.

That sucks.  What’s good sting operation that would be. Let them AirTag an unsuspecting truck or van parked at the track where it would be easy...

That sucks.  What’s good sting operation that would be. Let them AirTag an unsuspecting truck or van parked at the track where it would be easy to go unnoticed.  Then after the races park it out behind restaurant or motel.  Then when they move in for the steal, (insert your action: arrest them, less than lethal shotgun them, tar and feather, maybe lock them in a room with Barry Manilow blasting on the stereo.)

I’m pretty sure the Barry Manilow might fall under cruel and unusual punishment…😂

Yeah like nail their dick to a gasoline soaked piece of wood. Light it on fire and hand them a rusty steak knife.

edit:  I am a victim of thievery and not much more that I hate than a theif.
