Having this class is the equivalent of having a D/beginner class at LLs

How many winners have gone on to achieve higher levels of success at LLs and more importantly, professionally

If it was only that easy.  Most of the mechanics inspecting bikes aren't PW mechanics.  Its a highly modded trail bike essentially with a shaft drive motor.  There are literally hundred plus things you can do to make these faster.  You have to protest, put up money, and pick the exact thing you think is modded.  Its a guessing game.  You can mod the gears for example but the piston the same. If you choose piston and they open it up.  You are wrong and lose your money.  Other parent says F you. Most of the cheating isnt overt and is very minor.  Just enough to get the bikes around the track and over the jumps without having to hoof it.  You wouldn't even know what to look for unless you were one of the top 5 shops in the US.  I have personally watched an inspection official walk over various cheater parts in an engine without even noticing.  They can stamp the parts to look the same as factory.  You guys can disbelieve me all you want.  Im a former racer who never touched PWs and knew nothing about this.  I was in disbelief at how crazy its gotten as an outsider looking in. Take what you want from what im saying, i don't even hate the class, the truth is the truth. Allow some level of modifications or enforce the current rule.  Again the main thing here - If you take a PW from a dealer floor and go ride it at LLs track.  You will watch a kid push a bike up multiple jump faces.  You better never go inside or little Timmy needs some thunder thighs.

I don’t think it would be a big deal for Yamaha to put up 42 pw50s at the ranch. Throw some bars, tires on them and have the motors with seals on them. Obviously ride your own bike at area and regional but to cut all the bs have Yamaha show up with a hauler full of them and be done with it.

Sir, I stand proudly in saying I remember Dave Jordan.  As, 1 week earlier at Ponca, he and Mr. Bob Brown ( Scotties Dad), signed me to Team Green for the 83-84 seasons on the earth shattering, brand new KX mini line.  Damn,  those 2 bikes reshaped mini motocross forever..... the 60 was IT, and the 80 was the reason a ton of kids DID NOT jump onto a 125 for at least another year, as it was legal cheating.  The late Paul Denis introduced the world to that 80 with class at Ponca City that August.   I'd had a great week racing against Colin Edwards on pee wee's, and they signed us both before the awards assembly.  Edwards, myself, and 5 other kids were torn down there that week.......  Both of us were legal, Colin's Dad and my Dad were laughing at the folks protesting us, because all of them were indeed cheating, and got DQ'd!!!!!  That is where we learned of the baby oil/Witch Hazel in the driveshaft stuff.....  Colin Sr. looked at my Dad, and in his finest Aussie accent says, "Who in the hell has the time to dream up this shit?!?  I gotta work for a living....".  Daddy and he had a Coors together, and he told us they were headed to the new AMA National in TN, had to be there the next day. to sign in.  Said he also regretted committing to it.....  "I'd rather have a couple more of these with you guys, then go home to TX tomorrow morning."  Daddy, Bob, and Colin all talked like genuine MX Dads do.......  Cussing about this and that, prices, and talking about next season.  What great memories we can all acquire from this silliness.......
