Rand Paul said he voted against this bill because it won't affect Trump. Would Rand Paul vote in favor of this bill if it becomes stronger ?

Let me know if you want other poll options, I can edit/add them.
Anyone who holds a National level office, including Cabinet members and SC justices, should have their investments put into a blind trust.
This used to be standard for a president, but that’s not the case anymore.
I concur and my mindset is that of Apple’s post.
Agree with Blind Trust while in office plus term limits. Serving your country as a politician shouldn’t be a career path with a gold plated retirement.
It wasn't supposed to be from the beginning. The whole reason why congress has so much time off is they had to go back to there real jobs way back when.

Trump's not the one making millions off of insider trading, due to their political/lawmaking position.
Hence the name, pelosi bill.
Lol...of course they should be banned from trading. Thier positions are the very definition of "insiders". Everything the government purchases, from toilet paper to aircraft carriers, goes across some politicians desk. Exploiting the foreknowledge of which companies are about to get huge contracts is easier than printing money. It's a fucking crime.
It's the same with foriegn monetary aid.
They take our money, send it overseas, and get a healthy return back into their own pockets.
Both issues cross party lines.
Here’s the reasoning why this will never gain traction. Remember, this guy oversaw his health care company that was fined over $1.7B for fraud billing Medicare and Medicaid…….
And no, this isn’t a partisan shot. It doesn’t represent any political party, it represents the greed of people who aspire to positions of authority like this.

There should be a law that if 75% or more of the general public is in favor of something congress has to pass it.
Something we almost universally agree on.
Agreed. Also, liberal teachers should not be teaching our youth. I think that’s another thing we can universally agree on. Just look at all the rotten fruit that has produced in the past.
Just can't help yourself can ya?
Jesus Christ. 🤣🤦♂️
This shit infuriates me. Time to tar and feather these cocksuckers. They're all absolutely the most selfish pieces of shit in existence. Like I said in either earlier here or in a different thread my contempt for the state is infinite. At this point I'd trust being ruled by AI more than these corrupt self serving pricks. I feel attacked every single time I write a check to the IRS.
Hell right now we are dealing with the IRS claiming they didn't receive our 2019 3rd quarter payroll tax payment. We were never notified about it until a month ago when they turned it over to collections with an additional $7500 in penalties. Six years later? Yeah go right ahead and eat shit. That 2019 3rd quarter payroll tax was submitted electronically.
There should be 2 more options in the poll.
1: Their trades have to be disclosed on the internet 2 hours before they execute so anyone can participate in that trade.
2: Their investment portfolio should be driven by an internet poll. They represent us so we should get to decide where they invest.
It's because they had to travel by horse and buggy, long distances. But yes, never meant to be a career. However, as constituent, the longer my congressman is there the more power he amasses. This power enables him/her to bring federal $$s back to my home state for JOBS. It's a double edged sword. Now, if every state had a 6 year limit for their representatives, we'd have balanced playing field. I'm OK with that.
Pit Row
One more thing to add:
They should work and vote from their home district. It’s 2025, we have these things called Zoom meetings or calls or whatever now. Keep them out of the swamp and away from the lobbyists and their money. If they want to get together and party and drink, do it own their own time and dime. Absolutely no reason they can’t do what they need to do, vote, etc from home where their constituents can keep an eye on them and hold them more accountable.
More disappointment.
That dude definitely has an IQ of 150, I don't even know why I questioned it.
It’s hilarious because Hawley is his lap dog for 99% of things. He was the main Senator pushing the 2020 election lies. But to be on his good side he needs 100% blind loyalty. This is why it’s a cult.
On this I have to agree. It’s out of control.
I’m pretty sure that Pelosi could sidestep this just by claiming to be under audit…….!
Which part of that is disappointing to you?

The bill restricts trading by government officials. The President opposed it and is trying to spin it.
