The comment made inferred that this new trade deal was opening up a closed market for American cars going to Japan via tariffs. The fact is that there haven’t been tariffs on American cars imported to Japan for decades, so………

Look dude, you don’t know anything. I’ll bet your posting history began with Trump. All you guys were completely silent over the last 4-5 years and then all the sudden your experts on trade? All the sudden you’re going to the ends of the earth to prove what? Something against Trump? And don’t give me that bs about Trump blinders on. Where were you a year or two ago? Probably consumed with getting a head start on Trump bashing like all your other dumb-ss Biden silent cronies had for everything un-reported on Biden.

What are s the Dems trade policy? What is their Immigration policy? What is their women’s sports policy? Hmm, there it is - silence 🤐

Meeting in Stockholm next week with chyna.

Getting them to begin purchasing our products, isn't anything we should be holding our breath in anticipation of.

Why? Because Trump actually has one? What is you’re advice to Trump right now on generating income to handle the $36T debt? What is the Dems policy? What was Biden’s policy? Oh yeah, your posting history doesn’t go back to pre-Trump. Oh but now you’re the expert. What is the future for the US?

So now you are claiming changing immigration policy or the women's sports policy, will fix the debt!

Go run along boy.

Your weak trolling act has played out

And now your just a bore.

But, calling you out for being a perverted creep, projecting your innermost twisted fantasies onto others, and all by using your own words you post every time you go on your rage posting tears, was entertaining.

So you ain't man enough to admit you were wrong?

Got it.

It must suck to go through life so fucking insecure that you can never admit fault.

Fair enough, this is a peaceful form of protest.

Laughing out loud. ‘Trade experts’. Yea it takes a real trade expert to understand that American car companies have been able to sell in Japan for decades.

Your form of protest is to boycott local Chinese restaurants that are probably owned by people who probably hate the Chinese government more than you do……

Makes sense!

The doofus Billy Mahar has seen the light. What about the malcontents in here?

==================================================

Bill Maher admits he was wrong about Trump on tariffs, doesn’t ‘see a country in a depression at all’
Maher said he thought tariffs would 'sink this economy'

Liberal comedian Bill Maher admitted that he was wrong about President Donald Trump on tariffs in a podcast posted Monday, and he’s "got to own it" because the economy is thriving.

"Just to take an example, tariffs. Now I remember that I, along with probably most people, was saying at the beginning, ‘Oh, you know, by the 4th of July… the economy was going to be tanked by then,’ and I was kind of like, ‘Well, that seems right to me,’" Maher said.

"But, that didn’t happen," Maher said. "It could happen tomorrow. I’m just saying, that’s reality, so let’s work first from the reality of that, not from ‘I just hate Donald Trump,’ because that’s boring and doesn’t get us anywhere and leads you to dishonesty."

The accountability is again refreshing to see, props to Bill Maher. There will be lag. Let's see how we look at the end of this year.

Not Bill Maher, but I had a friend and his lady from AZ visiting this weekend (we disagree on some things politically). He noted how dead July 4th weekend was out there, no one on the lake - people can't afford to put gas in their boats, and are tightening up spending. Establishments I patronize locally are seeing less people there on weeknights getting beer and food. That being said, RedBud was PACKED with people which was great to see.

Has the economy tanked per se? Negative. But, a lot of companies stockpiled inventory early on, also. Are people starting to really feel the pinch? I think yes. We are Americans, we will always buy shit, it just comes at a higher cost now. If you look at traditional metrics, GDP is down, the dollar is down almost 10%. Hell, Stellantis reported a $2.7B loss in the first half of this year, largely attributed to tariff impacts.

Hopefully the weaker dollar inspires investment into our country. Wall Street is largely ignoring Trumps activities, which is very interesting to me. He doesn't necessarily have the control he wants to have over the global economic landscape, at least to the degree he wants.

EDIT - spelling.

Well, you know the "usual suspects in here. They were chirping on the daily that the tariffs would ruin America.

They go into hysterics on anything pro Trump and are giddy school girls on things like "Trump is on the Epstein pedo list!"

To be honest, I have respect for not that many in this joint. Many are intellectually dishonest..................

Maybe I should, I'd be curious to see what Dale Carnegie has to say about the digital age given that he died in 1955.
