We still have In-N-Out, and it's a lot cheaper too 🤣

In 2022 I drove to Hollywood Hills and spent two days. Just down the street, Regular was $7.00/gal.

Two weeks ago, picked up my KTM 950 from a shop in Anaheim -- average I saw was around $4.50/gal.

And some 3rd world illegal parasite working in a 7-11 on Katella Avenue near Anaheim Stadium thought I would pay $9.50 for two 2-pound bags of ice 🤣

Not very observant, or just stupid? If you're still living in the Zimbabwe-fornia, methinks it's Option 2. Ya think it's going to get better?  🤣

I live as far from Commiefornia and even that shithole Scottsdale as you can get....

I live in the spot where people escaping Commiefornia and shitholes like Scottsdale run to...

Gas is still over $3.50/gallon and grocery prices aren't dropping.....am I a dumb ass too?

My favorite time to remind everyone of national gas prices and receive downvotes and quotes because a gas station by their house is cheaper now than it was 6 months ago, so I’m obviously lying

Just filled up this morning, $2.95, was nice to see it under $3.00. Groceries overall not so nice.

The Executive branch in general is overstepping  their bounds in my opinion. Executive orders bypassing legislative branch as an example. Congress has been completely worthless the last 20 years. Not balancing budgets or in some years, not even passing a budget.  Also the courts have been politicized and generally do not serve as third leg of checks and balances. Biden was horrible at this, implementing his agenda while bypassing Congress. Many states sued over this. I don’t know how businesses can survive with these massive 4 year swings in policy honestly.

How have executive orders overstepped the legislature? How have the courts become politicized to fail checks and balances?

Im not a lawyer.  But most recently, there is a long list of current executive orders that are being challenged by the courts so some lawyers would agree they go against current laws or the constitution. Justices are selected based on their political affiliation. (IE politicalization of courts). In a two party system, that means a Republican or a democrat. I don’t believe our founding fathers necessarily intended two party system to control courts. Just my opinion.

I don't live in Scottsdale, it's just the mailing address. I'm on 2 acres in the desert, 400 yards from the Tonto NF. At the rate this state is getting Californicated by LA and Bay Area suburbaniote assholes, I'll be gone in a year or two.

Anyone who lives in Kaliforniya is a dumbass for paying over 50% tax, like in Europe. Or in NY, Illinois etc. Enjoy working for 50% on the dollar, eh?

Anyone who has not noticed the substantial reduction in gas prices ..... is a dumbass. Self-apply where applicable.

Losing out on bidding wars because the cost of raw materials is still increasing. Retirees on fixed incomes are struggling. But, keep playing that skin flute waiting on Donny to bring salvation.

STEP AWAY FROM THE REMOTE, SIR!

I know you and many others here don’t really care about economic realities. But here you go.

In 2020, the Trump Administration cut a deal with OPEC to drastically cut oil production. This deal was agreed upon to be in place through April of 2022.

Article Here: https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=45236

Obviously as the economy opened back up in late 2020 and especially throughout the early part of 2021, with that OPEC deal still in place, with people ready to spend money and travel like they couldn’t do for months, inflation was sky high. That’s basic capitalism and economics. It starts falling right exactly when that OPEC deal ends and oil output increases.

Inflation Graph Here: https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/inflation-cpi

As we know, gasoline prices and inflation are basically going to go hand in hand. More expensive to ship stuff, the more expensive it’ll be for the consumer. They of course once again fall right when that OPEC deal that was signed and negotiated by Trump ends in April of 2022.

Gas Price Graph Here: https://www.statista.com/statistics/204133/retail-prices-of-motor-fuel-in-the-united-states-since-2009/

Inflation was going to absolutely suck for all of us for a good year and a half there no matter who was in office. On top of this deal, supply chains were extremely clogged and production of every product had to get back up to normal levels before inflation started to cool. By every single metric, under the Biden Administration, we handled inflation better than any other developed nation and our economy recovered quicker than any other developed nation.

It's already fixed so good I don't have to vote, and has been for some time, and in fact I didn't vote in the last three elections. I voted third party in several elections before that. I don't know why it took so long for me to realize that it was a complete waste of my time to go down there and fill in the little circles.

Yep, they took the privilege of absentee ballots, reserved for soldiers and others working out of country, turned it into mail in voting, and ran wild with it..

If you're in this country,  you need to,register, show up in your district, legal identification in hand, and cast your vote.

Make it easy and convenient for all citizens to vote in person in their particular district and I don't see this as a problem.

Exactly, have numerous options for locations, flexible hours (open 6am-9pm or something like that so working people have options), and have these voting stations open for at least 3-5 days prior to the election rather than just election day.

If it is a quick and easy process, people will happily vote in person.

Waiting for hours in a line because everyone is forced to vote on election day only, will ruin the process. Most people will just say fuck it and leave if the line is too long.

Take all the money they now spend to print, mail, and tabulate mail in ballots, and put that money into additional polling places, expanded hours and voting days, and extra staff to process everything.

if you think anything trump/republicans do will make it more "secure" or "simple" you are living under a rock.

or maybe by simple you mean "voter suppression" which is exactly the goal here.

It will disenfranchise a lot of older folks who aren’t able to easily travel to voting locations. And folks in rural areas. There are parts of the country where (Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, etc) where you may have to travel long distances to cast a vote.

Mail in votes skew a bit democrat but republicans closed that gap significantly in the last election. And there are quite a few states who have more republicans mail in ballots than democrats.

I’m not in on the conspiracy that there is rampant election fraud though so I don’t think mail in is a big issue.

People voted before cars and airplanes. It's way easier to get to the polling locations today than it ever has been. I never liked the mail in votes except when I was stationed over seas. I don't vote anymore so it really makes no difference to me either way. I just like to talk. Smile

Oh, and rural people are generally more conservative. If it's harder for rural people to get to the polling places why would mail in voting favor the democrats? Things that make you think for 50 Alex.

or maybe by simple you mean "voter suppression" which is exactly the goal here.

Well, first and foremost, wouldn't the democrats purposefully letting in so many illegal immigrants, providing housing/money,  and means to vote be the same? Suppressing the will of the people who live here, so when you ironically "secure the boarder" which debunks the security thing immediately, as well as the voter suppression... Can you tell me who exactly they are suppressing as far as voting rights are concerned? Or is this just another person using self emotion to sway judgement and not think logically?

The pandemic and mail-in voting went together like peanut butter and jelly.  Funny how Zuckerbucks was Johnny on the spot with $500 million to make it happen right on time.  It’s almost like it was planned…oh wait!

Yep fair points. I think it will be just as harmful to Republican votes as it will democrat votes. The only thing I can think to counter and it’s not much of one.  Is people used to have to travel to towns to get stuff they needed. Now everything gets delivered to us so the need to leave our homes is much less.

Voting is like a chore to me(when I vote). I can’t imagine too many illegal immigrants are going through the hassle of voting.
