Red Flag Restart

I was thinking this too but someone is bound to push the luck and jump at the same time or just before the guy to their left to get an advantage once it gets going down the line. But yea in theory you dont even need the guy there, you can go when the guy to your left goes, all the way down the line. 

Possibly the best idea. First of all, you can set a certain speed. Secondly, the officials don't get hurt. If anything, he could run with a pole so it extends behind him (maybe with a flag on the end of it). But yeah, definitely don't think the AMA did a risk assessment on it, especially if people on Vital MX think its a bit iffy.

I thought it worked very well. They have been doing this during a practice session to get everyone used to it. 

Just need the camera drone to fly down the line instead of the guy running. Could even mount a Green flag underneath it. 

Use a mule. 
Some guy running over 40 ruts with 40 bikes ready to go. 🤦‍♂️

Kinda old school but sure seemed to work.  I liked it.

Flat Track restarts are like that in US. In Europe they tried that for the first time in the World Championship 2 weeks ago.

I really like the mule idea. Maybe some type of flag on the back and if a rider hits the flag (by jumping early) he gets docked a position at the end of the moto.

Also, use a skidder to groom a 1 bucket width path for the mule so they aren't trying to go over all the ruts... 

They can keep a nice even pace.  Yes, there will be a slight delay as they cross the box, but tuff luck and it's only like 1 second.

*edit - I also think the mule should go a little slower than they did last weekend.  Not much, just a little to create a little more sepereration.
