And Dunge was coming off his retirement couch going up against absolute units in Chase and Eli. Remember Roger shitting on Caleb Russel too after all the titles he won for KTM. He just wanted a crack at the Nationals before he retired
Really bummed about how this played out. I was really hoping that he could stay on 2 wheels and put in some solid results. Was even thinking we could catch flashes of the old Jmart. Guess it was not meant to be, but that's ok. Still at his peak, he was 1 heck of a rider, and a good person/personality. The sport chewed him up a little bit and it's a shame. I think his career could've played out differently under better circumstances. But that's how it goes.
As a few others have mentioned, Dungey coming back after that time off is just incredible. What a treat that was to get to see him do that.
