Just curious if anyone knows if any other bikes had heat or dragging engine issues yesterday, I'm guessing due to deep ruts?  I don't think I've ever witnessed one brand have so many at one race before.  I find it intriguing.

Obviously, we do know Ducati had some issue.

I made a comment in the race thread about it seeming like Red Bud claims a lot of bikes. In my short term memory I cant remember Tomac on his Kawi and now his Star bike. Jett blew up a 250 there. And Deegz had his issues yesterday

Yesterday, it was Tomac, Shock and I saw Deegans, Bryton Carroll, and some more smoking. Looks like Webb DNFed.  So, curious if yesterday any other manufacturers.

Excessive amount of water paired with lack of maintenance, its a bike eating track.

I think I could blow a 250f up in 1 hr.  Leave it on the rev limiter in deep wet sand , clutch the hell out of it to excel rate the explosion.  Funny I can leave a125 wo at 13k & clutch every corner & all I do is burn more gas . Not the engine up.  IMG 3663 3.jpeg?VersionId=g kcnu9Bldkhp2l8xKTB3wX

It's extra large due to the insane amount of roost coming off the rear tire.

Could it be something as simple as needing larger radiators?

What people don’t realize is unless you are out front your radiators are getting filled with that sandy dirt and the heat on Saturday cooked a lot of engines.  They get hot start to detonate and then boom pushing it back to the truck.

Could be, but an oil cooler sounds good too.

Is Tits here a pic threw cloud cover instead of almost dark during the day like the other pic . Garage is near the bay the sky was dark to the n.  I hit Dyracuse Wi. Rapids rec park my mid to hard tires & I haven’t rode sand in 20+ yrs.  I rode the sx track it had some clay instead of bottom less sand .  A pro doing the nationals was there from Florida he said the sand is deeper here & the sx track is sketchy.  Some kickers on jumps but some killer whoops I greased them a couple times perfect . I crashed 5 or 7 times mostly in deep sand berms .  5 hard rollers I hit the front wheel on face then clip the rear in . I went so fast trying to get them down that never made the 7 ft banked berm I flew ovr it & crashed .  Haha . Gripper was pulling my pants down I had my under wear on the seat . Haha . I didn’t want to stop it’s soo fun. Totally out of shape wow sand really exposes that .

Yamaha's giving up the ghost is nothing new.

I have an excellent motor guy, he mechanic'd in the AMA pro circuit and Arena cross for many years. He lives in the Kaufman, TX area and he was recommended to me from this site by several members.

He specifically told me I'll get double the hours out of my Kawi motors than his Yamaha customers. Said Yami's have a lot of issues, and jsut don't last long.  I believe him, and it's enough for me to not own one. I don't have the cash for frequent rebuilds or grenading engines.

You think the bars look tall ? There Windham bend the t clamp is higher & more forward tho.  Wi. rapids is massive amount of trails now I wanted to hit the sand bowl but it’s a long distance threw the woods . There’s atv ride area that the country has near by . It has a lot of left & rt high banked areas & of course the woods.  A Bro & his kid from Rockford rode there & all week. I talked to the pro from Florida Super nice guy he’s from Wi. Originally.  Wow what a different sport now . A basic 250f stage 1 mod engine is 7k after that the price I think goes way up.  Big budgets pay 1,700 to ecm tune at ever round .  Trying to pu 2-3 % push those engines to the max .  I was burning alot of clutch in 2 laps on the sx track .  The fmf harder hit  & quicker pipe would’ve helped that. Don’t hv time to change it burn laps then break get water .  Rt arm pumps up in 2 laps from back of shoulder tendinitis etc . I think I had 6 injections on it . Helped a little bit I just hv to run it .  Rt thumb is real sore along with my arms from the hard pack & holes from .  Part of my crashing is my rear brake it’s acting funky .  Rear mid to hard tire couldn’t drive me out of the deep sand corners .  Rpm,s hv to be high the sand brings the rpm down , on the exit then the mid pulls good & I hyper shift twice .  1 set of 7 whoops was like the 2nd pair at Millville. With a turn in them rt to left to a big hump . Fun to 3rd or 4th wo then hit the hump going left .  Try stuff like angle off it , brake stab .  A ton of lakes in the area I stopped driving there & got brats , etc @ Plainfield ts .

And B riders that beat 500,s on 125,s I did that in 91 at the deep hilly sand track.if ya beat 500,s on this track that means you own them & take there color. Haha  I was a decent sand rider back then . IMG 3684.jpeg?VersionId=pNWWE.RHwj  Plus yellow backgrounds look better the TUF AX seat cover Pops.

Why do bikes expire more at Redbuuuuud than they do at Southwick? Doesn't make sense.

It’s wayy deeper & wet sand they had a lot  of rain b4 tge race too. Midwest loam or especially hard pack I use tge hit & quick mid to corner.  I deep sand high rpm slipping the clutch difference is massive. Like a strong cr250 to a 125. Speaking of sand what tire you riders using at Millville?  I,m not picking a tire for the start .  Hard pack on the hills pirrelli mid soft ?  I found out a mid to hard tire doesn’t drive you out of deep sand corners very good.

I heard the opposite yesterday from a pro . Kawi like to blow cranks when modded. Team Honda sounds like there more advanced on the ecm tuning rt now.  I don’t remember Henry,s or Lamson,s 42-43 hp cr125 ever blowing up & there rpm,s where Much higher than a 250f. Especially Lamson,s 125,s.

Nice find haha . Yeah I,m trying to  secure sponsorship from McDonald’s. Maybe they’ll come out with a Mc Pro Quaud burger.  Public p wash east side of ghetto Bay .  A nice lady & her son where all Happy & smiles saying Sharp bike. It’s also a deterrent say a double pro runs me down . As soon as he sees the seat cover with the sun hitting it just rt . He looses all concentration & tucks the frontend.
