off craigslist. 2007 kx250, looks like it hasnt been ridden in the dirt. no wear on the frame/cases. from what i understand this was the last year they imported these bikes in the u,s,? anyone have one of these? any essential aftermarket parts to make this bike zoom? Anyone know what weight the stock suspension is set up for? I payed 2800 for it, seemed like a steal

I have an 05 that's just as clean as yours.05-07 are identical. Kawi came out with the 450 in 06 so all their effort was put into the thumper from 06 on. It's a Great bike, Tons of power.. Put a pro-circuit pipe on it and use the stock muffler. Plus add V-Force reeds. I went up one on the needle too. If you want to do a little head work to match the ports and give it more power,If it has a 14t front sprocket put a 13t on it. 13/51 is what im running.. Add an extra base gasket and have the head milled .07 mill. The suspension is probably set up for a 165lb rider. In the test the rider was a 195lb int. And he said he could race the stock suspension but he would like to add stiffer springs. You got a great bike take care of her and she will keep you happy!

My favorite "modern" era bike.

Long and low, good power.

Nice find, just ride it.

Nice find, looks basically new, congrats! The exception would be that it looks like someone raped the clutch lever Wink

It is a really good looking bike. Very light, and the ergonomics seem very comfortable. Just riding it up and down the street the bike feels so much more "alive" than my 450. I havent been on a two stroke in about 5 years, im excited to get out on the track with it. Tommorow we are going to set it up (sag, levers) and go through it make sure its good to go. Hopefully ride it tommorow night, then MXDN on friday! great end to the week!

I am jealous, I have a sweet RM, but I had a KX a few years ago a 2006 and loved it, wish I could find another one like this one you got.

Hey do you wanna trade for a very clean, tricked out RM??? lol

Im thinking about getting a 2 banger myself. I was comparing prices for just a piston for my bike compared to a cr 125 and it was a $200.00 difference!!! I could have a realllly trick 125 for half of the price i have payed for my bike so far.

congrats! In 08, when i started riding again after 11 years of not riding i lucked into an 04yz125 that was basically untouched. so i can feel your joy and excitement. if ya can, try to find some race gas and mix 1-2 gallons with your normal 93 octane (in typical 5 gal gas can) and try to go to at least 96-98 overall octane.

I found a 2006 kx250 on craigslist for $2400 in just as good condition. I bought it for $2300 and it is a great bike.

After the first ride at the track the frame had a lot of scratches though

That's Coos Bay.

I dont really go to Florence anymore. Too many blind drops and too many people.

Coos and Winchester are way better IMO.

Go check it out. Mucho fun!

MXA really took a crap on the 06/07 bike's handling. I had an 05 and it wasn't an issue. Supposedly the PC linkage is supposed to alleviate the issue.

Nice find! I always thought those were some of the best looking bikes.
