Cocky, slow, fast, arrogant. He's all of that but, he is one thing that nobody else is......................Da Winna.

None of it matters, James is not there, neither is RC, MC, The Hurricane, or anyone else, and Reed won. You have to participate to win. All the what if scenarios mean nothing because there is no comparison available other than the past and that for sure is not the current situation.

IMO, Reed has cause to be cocky, he should just choose not to impose his right to be. I'm not a JS fan, I'm not a Reed fan. It's not fun to watch when one person dominates. It's more fun to watch when someone like Josh Hill wins, you know he could make a mistake at any second and that makes the race interesting and infinitely more fun to watch.

I just think his cockiness and attitude are a little much.
His attitude is that of a guy that comes in and dethrones the the top guy or guys.....Reed didnt....he had to wait a couple years til the fast guys retired or TKO'ed themselves.
Although I'd rather watch his cocky podium speech this year as opposed to his whiny ones of the past few years.

If we are talking about supercross, RC hasn't beat Stewart without Stewart crashing either.

People confuse confidence with arrogance, and show me a champion who's not confident

Yes, but I can show you a few who are arrogant, too. Confident is: "These guys are all great riders but if I bring everything I have I can win." Arrogance is: "These guys got nothin'".

Chad's a very good supercross rider, but he's not likely to wind up in the "greats" catagory. He never beat RC for a championship and he hasn't beaten Stewart either.

Why is Chad always scrutinized so much? RC can cry and threaten the AMA and yet he is a good Samaritan. Stop bitching.

Here we go again. Will you stop your hatred for James. You can't post or reply to something without trying to degrade James in some fasion.

Reed has won 34 Supercross events. I hated the guy because he did not race the Motocross Series.

But like it or not Reed is one of the top 5 supercross racers of all time and will once again be SX champion in 2008.

It ain't cocky if you can back it up.

if reed is so confident in his skills then he should ride the outdoors in the heat with rough tracks while jame's is there. he wont have anywhere near the amount of success he is having indoors

waaa waaaa waaaa. If you were Chad Reed and got paid millions of dollars to race supercross and win a championship, you wouldn't want to go race outdoors either. He doesn't enjoy it. He doesn't have to race it. He doesn't claim to be as fast as Stewart outdoors and he doesn't care about the outdoors. He is a supercross rider only. Get over it!

pretty much the same way I feel about it......I give him all the credit for winning the way he is this year.(still dont like him though) But if JS or RC were there it would be the same.......He would be the fastest out of "the rest of the guys" he couldnt beat the fastest guys when they were there and he wouldnt have beaten them this year either. Im a big Windham fan but in all honesty who really thinks K-dub would have been in contention for the points lead if JS or Rc were here?

Agreed.

I guess I'm not following ya. The past 3 seasons didn't require someone to come up from the tiddlers' class to dominate. Pretty much everyone expected RC or Stewart to win the titles, and, they did.

Reed's an awesome rider, no doubt. But, he's shown more weakness than RC or Stew ever did. Reed's "slow" (if you want to call it slow) enough to allow a young, amazing rider to take a title from him. I'm thinking RV could be the guy. And, I'm not sure who else is going to hit the 450's from the Lites class. There are others who are extremely fast.

Let him flap his jaws all he wants...... he got lucky this year, he had no chance against James...kinda like GL last year. Neither will take a title again after this. Next years field will be stacked!! Stewart RV JLaw Canard Dungey Townly Reed will be lucky to make the podiumLaughing
