Great find. One of the best looking bikes ever in my opinion.

From my experience, its worth way more OEM stock than modified.

It was on CL for $4500 but I traded for my 18 kx450. There are 2 nicer looking ones on Boise CL right now; a 2003 ($3500) and 2005 for $3700.

The one here is listed at $4400, and looks to be original and in good shape. Given that I've bought 3 bikes this year, the odds of my wife letting me buy another one are pretty slim tho. Smile

Yeah but what about early Christmas present? I saw a 2008 crf450 on cl that looks from the pictures pretty clean. I think I want it but not enough room in the garage! My wife gives me a little crap but not too bad. Her saying is “ok, now where are you going to put it?”

There's not much crossover between the RM and the RMZs, as far as parts. Both front and rear axles are bigger on the RMZ. You can change the front forks and clamps, and front wheel, but the steering stem is a different length. The RM rear suspension is very good stock, so really no reason to change anything there. Find some sweet A-kit suspension and you're set! Great find!

Thanks! Yeah I’m a Honda fan too. Sold the 2006 cr250 and wife’s Crf150r to fund a talon. I need to finish a 2003 cr85 expert (just graphics left) and that’s going up for sale too.
