Looks like he won't be back at Geico Honda. "We’re going to miss the hell out of him." Team manager Mike Larocco.

He'll never beat a lot of the faster riders coming up. He's never going to win a title. Same with Townley and Short. Tedesco is moving backwards in his career fast, too. Josh Grant is too much of a flake and too inconsistent to be a title contender. Mike Alessi's window of opportunity may have shut, Reed is looking at semi-retirement, Bubs is all fucked up with his TV show and living large with all his Bling, Millsaps is burned out.
Who can challenge Dungey -
Canard?
Pourcel?
The field is so fucking thin these days in U.S. pro moto.

Dude put's in the work. Is a positive and happy guy that people like having around. A great teammate and he never lay's up.
And he never get's waxed. Ever. Get's beat by Canard or Barcia or Pourcel or Weimer but those dudes are fast too. But it appears he's got the 450 figured out.
Talent wise or speed wise he may be a few ticks off. But he is a whole race charger and solid indoors.
Expect Metty to be on the box at least twice this winter and in the top 5 a few more times....especially late in the season.
And remember they televise heat races in winter......he is a good hire for someone.
He HAS to be on a factory bike next year, Minimal practice time on a 450 and amazing improvement throughout the year. He's got the goods and any manufacturer will be glad to have such a clean cut hard working rider in there stable.
metty is better on the 450...plain and simple. we know that much but the new guys coming up might just be worse than on the 250.
factory rides don't matter anymore anyways...motoconcepts yamaha wants him so there....lol
You ready to EAT YOUR HAT Old Man?
LOL!!
D
Metty one of very few riders to even get close to Dungey all year long, but no the second fastest 450 rider in the AMA this year who proved he can race up front on a 450 will never get a Top ride!!!
