It's not RC, it's not Robert Pastrana, it's not Ray Tetherton, it's not Tony Alessi, it's not RJ that I know for sure, it's someone who has over 15 years with Suzuki oh and it's not Pat Alexander, just thinking out loud on people who have been at Suzuki that long...So keep guessing people, it's a guess for me too I just know who it isn't !

I'm not picking on GL8 specifically, but your post just made that thought pop into my mind... whenever someone starts suggesting team managers there is always a few riders thrown into the hat.
factorypilot the answer to your question seems quite obvious really. Don't you think guys that have been there and done that would know a bit more than guys who haven't. 99% of coaches/managers in all sports are guys that have participated at top levels of their sport before getting into coaching/managing. To truly understand what it takes to participate in a sport at the highest levels it usually helps if you've done it yourself. Also the players or riders in mx will allot more inclined to listen to their bosses if they know their bosses have been there and succeeded at the top level. If I was a pro would have a real hard time taking directions from a guy that never raced but if someone like Decoster or RC was telling me I need to do this to succeed I'd have no problems listening.

Nobody said he races offroad, just involved with offroad, and has been there along time.
