One thing I noticed at the US Nationals, that is very different from the GPs, is mechanics & spotters all around the track waving towels above their heads to encourage their riders as they come by!
Seem's unique to the USA, does it actually spur on the rider or have they become oblivious to it?

It works about as well as when the British fans blow on their "Hooters".

Some dudes had them at the Swedish GP. I'm a peace-loving man, but those things makes me want to get violent.

If someone shows up with a vuvuzella at Thunder Valley they should have to leave wearing it.

There was some of those British horns at Southwick this year.

I always take my shirt off and wave it over the fence!!!

If I had a chainsaw with out the blade I would rock that at the Des Nations!!

I went to the Lakewood Motocross a few years ago and "borrowed" one of the white hand towels from the hotel. I twirled that towel all day long.

You know, I think using a 'chainless' chainsaw is more appropriate for our sport. Plus it gets the sound of 2 strokes back at the Nationals lol...

The P-berg terrible towel was originally done for a charity raiser. I screwed up and did not pick one up while I was at Steel City for my father in laws birthday......he is a huge Steelers fan.

Strippers need big fake boobies.

A whopper needs cheese.

I need my coffee.

fat chicks need ice cream.

Special people need their bicycle helmets.

And Mechanics need their towels.

It's what makes the world go around kid.

Enough chainsaws, it will sound like a 2 stroke race.

I don't wanna come across as a wet blanket but I don't want to be standing anywhere near one of those ear splitters. I could see some parent inserting that saw in someone's "knot hole". Fun is fun but deaf ain't fun.

Does anyone else have a strange urge making them want a 350cc chainsaw?
Sure could do some damage with that bad boy.

The towels are much cheaper than rally monkeys
