What are you down voting about. How is that not obvious. I bet there are stats that show that is is the case.

Except, this was not like a normal tuck the front end. He had obvious goggle problems, which most likely led to messing up on other things. I wish he would have just took a stop to get goggles and then go on. But I don't blame this crash like on his normal type of crashes.

This was just a soapbox monologue from Lewis about how devastating Pala was, but no updates

They said Chase is still in Cali and that was a good sign. If he was hurt he would have went home. Fingers crossed

I mean it's a KTM (and I own 3 currently) and never can find neutral. Of course I'm not pro, so not saying it can't happen.  /s

Out until Red Bud is now reported from multiple sources…. Shoulder and possible concussion.

Sucks for Chase and also sucks for the fans that won’t get to see the racing we all hoped for.  Back to another 2 man show.

You are so confidently wrong it’s almost admirable

Math is hard sometimes.

If I knock you down, and you're now on the ground, how many times do you need to get back up?

Have you ever heard of a saying? It is implying that no matter how many times you knock him down or what he is dealt with, he will get back up and keep fighting. It's really not hard to understand.

It is a silly saying, because if you've already got up eight times after eight falls, where does the 9th 'up' get you? On a ladder?

You're actually braindead. It has nothing to do with the math lol. Not arguing with a brick wall. Actually, that's offensive to the brick wall. At least the wall won't say dumb stuff back.

Do you know how forums work? I'm not the guy who originally argued with you, he's just as retarded as you are.

It is a stupid saying though.

No matter what it is, you accept when you're wrong and don't argue until your blue in the face lol. Just makes you look silly.

My apologies, I just thought it was the same person replying because you both said the same idiotic thing.

Thing is, I'm not wrong. I understand the colloquial use of the saying, and know the meaning - but the literal interpretation of the saying is very stupid. Hence me agreeing with the other guy.

A lot of English sayings make no sense when read word for word. Best way to realise this is to run them past a non native English speaker.

You do realise all words are made up right? Everything that comes out of your mouth at some point was made up by someone. None of it truly makes sense if you think about it. Literally repeat the same word 10-15 times.

Yes, words are made up for a purpose, to convey meaning.

Idioms / sayings are a weird one though. Often they convey a different meaning to the actual words, and the words themselves don't make any sense when taken literally. This is the point you either ignored, or didn't get, in your argument with the other bloke.

Some more examples - kick the bucket? Why do you kick a bucket when you die?

Raining cats and dogs? I've never seen that personally.

Break a leg? I'd prefer not thanks, been there done that.

There are so many more.

I completely agree that Chase isn't a quitter, and that he gives 100% every time, so I completely understand and accept the sentiment of the saying - buuut - I agree with the other guy saying 'fall eight times get up 9' does not make sense by itself, without the historical context of that quote and its usage. Go ask a German what it means, see if it's obvious.

Lot of whiners in here, yeah chase quit. There is no shoulder injury he can’t handle the pressure of beating Jett. He’s going to sit out as long as he possibly can to relieve himself of any expectations.

Man what a shit ordeal for Chase. The guy is everything you would want in an athlete and racer and yet weird things continue to hit him.  I would be dialing up a sports psychologist so damn fast just to stay on top of my mentals.  I feel for the guy, as a huge fan I hope he comes back and can finally show his true potential. I don't think we have seen the best of Chase yet

I don't know, man, if he didn't go back out at Pala because he hit his head, I can't justifiably criticize that, but a shoulder? Eli Tomac rode an LCQ with a broken leg a few months ago (like broken in half), RJ Hampshire had wrist surgery the week before Pala and still insisted on racing, Austin Forkner had stitches in between Moto 1 & 2 and still went back out to battle for a 22nd, Chance Hymas and who knows how many other guys have raced with torn ACLs, Jo with his mangled fingers, Jett also with a shoulder after a much bigger crash at Hangtown last year, and the list goes on. Sure, any speculation before the PR is maybe unfair to him but in the moment it was kinda wild so see him pull in and fold the cards on the whole season 5 minutes in with that #1 plate on his bike.

Bones are a lot different than ligaments.

Bummer for Chase and the fans!! Damn I wanted to see a 3-way battle between these guys!

I couldn't agree more on the sports psych idea. I feel like that's what Aldon did best back in the day. Maybe Sexton should work a little with that camp.

Ok, now flip that script and imagine how bad he must be hurting to not line up. The guy is a champion and knows what it takes, he gains nothing by backing out "banged up". Moto dudes race if they can race He has taken some incredible licks and kept trucking along like the guys you mentioned.

his fall was odd. Kinda reminds me of Dungey's when he broke his neck. It was just a little tip over sorta thing (he endoed) but the crash didn't LOOK very bad. CS's wreck looked super soft, even in replay. The bike falling on him didn't feel good I'm sure but it just doesn't seem like he took a super hard impact on his head/shoulder. But I'm no MD, so what do I know.

HOPE HES BACK.

The extra "Get up" is for the crash you don't remember

Everyone knows Chase is my guy but I said this after his sx triple crown snafu. He need a sports psychologist.
