Josh Hansen is already in Gothenburg, Sweden where he will do the "Ullevi Supercross" (Ullevi is the name on the stadium). Well, in classic Hansen fashion, that is obviously not the only thing he plans to "do" while in Sweden...

The same event Shorty won last year and Hepler the year before that. Holley is still helping out with setting up riders (he also competed in the event back in the 80's).

Grant Langston is still on the startinglist and I guess he's going (he mentioned on Pulp that he will still be doing events here and there). Hamblin, can you fill us in?

This year, they will run the track up and down the stands, kind of like the old Pontiac SX races.

I thought I had a pretty good knowing of the US trackbuilders, but I've never heard of Brian "Skippy" Bradshaw before (who's doing this years track and stands to the left in the photo).

Can't wait! Still a bit bitter for Hansens attempt at the aust. nationals, and basically wasted a near factory ride by putting around the whole season. Track looks great

Hansen is lucky he is American, must be the only country in the world you can be pro mxer earning big money but be too lazy to race mx lol any other country he would have to get a regular job or race outdoors.

great rider though.

Hansen raced outdoors. It's just that sometimes mother nature has a way of beating that will to race outdoors out of you. Hansen seemed to had lost his drive after this Southwick crash left him with a broken wing. No doubt he's still fast on the SX tracks.

All the talent in the world doesn't give you the right to be a douche. If only there were a "Douchercross" series for the likes of Hansen, J-Law, T Evans, & 95% of the FMX crew to compete in...preferably with a "Duel to the Death" format. That'd be douchetastic...//TJ

Dear Haters,

Hanny had a mission: Win X-Games for Monster/P.C./Kawasaki...Thor's Wardrobe Malfunction took that from him...

He'll rail that race in Swede-Land.

Good luck, Hanny.

he's only been on the bike a few days.

he had surgery a few weeks ago and he's not even close to 100%.

he will be a little rusty to say the least.

What are those strange metal canisters protruding from the right side of those engines? Must be radiator overflow catch tanks for the hot southwick sand.

And I think Hansen is gonna wax everyone at the Swedish SX... that track looks awesome and I'm glad it is going into the stands!

I love watcing him ride he has a greatr style but He said himself he couldn't be bothered to race outdoors for a large part of his career.. I also said he was a great rider.. which he is .. that is why he has won supercrosses... but that is more talent than hard work. and he has so much talent...winning mx requires talent and hard work.

But my point is still true.. only in the USA could you make a good living racing 8 15 minute indoor races a year...without racing outdoors. And in the rest of the world motocross is what counts...

brian bradshaw is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana and held AMA Pro #224 for several years in the early 80s. i quit riding with him in his yellow Dodge van because he drove like he rode. he has worked for DirtWurx for many years and lives in Arizona in the off season. dbm

Well, you could also say that in Europe a few riders get paid decently, or even pretty good, to race a 15-race outdoor series, while in the US the majority has to race twice as much, including a gnarly SX season schedule, for their living ?? Those guys may consider the GP guys "lazy" !!

i went from a hater of Hansen to a fan. The kid is plenty fast and with better consistency could of had the SX west title. I hope he wins and then lays wood to the entire Swedish bikini team. F the haters

Is Morias riding in this event too?

I thought he was headed to Sweden, but perhaps it was for a different engagement.

Ryan Morais is in town!

<

And so is Langston!

Talk about a lame version of "going up in the stands"... Meaningless if you ask me, just messes up the rythm of the track.

So his supercross efforts this year weren't taken seriously? That explains it then.

Hey Xavier how about Hansen for Bercy that would be cool and CLS could provide the structure as well so Mitch would be happy. That would be a big name and show Musquin and Roczen the type of competition they can expect in the US although Barcia and Canard are fast as well.
