Silly Season: What If?
09/04/10
written by Brent Stallo
We’ve got the Vurb Euro Team out in force at Lierop for the second to last round of the FIM World Championships in Belgium and quite a few rumors are beginning to surface around KTM and their new team for 2011. We’ll start by saying that in NO way, shape or form can we verify any of the following rumors, but it does have us asking the question “What if?”
Rumor is Red Bull will be pulling out of their sponsorship contract with Honda in 2011, and since they will no longer support any series’ next year (they will also be pulling out of the MXoN in 2011) that they will be joining KTM and, for lack of better words, be buying up the biggest and best talent in the land. Rumors are already starting of the hiring of James Stewart and Ryan Dungey, and we’ve also heard rumors of Chad Reed and Christophe Pourcel joining the team.
While we’re sure all of the above won’t land on KTM’s new star studded team, if Red Bull does in fact shift their support KTM’s way, you have to ask yourself “What if?”
I like the whole premise, everyone on orange, 2 stroke or 4, pick your flavor.
No red, yellow, green or blue bikes anywhere. Isn't it about time for Yamaha to change their color anyway?

Seriously on Goose, the guy has had how many mechanical DNF's with a bike? I can't actually think of any at the moment. He is way under appreciated by the champions he has helped produce.
The mechanic cannot control rider crash damage, he can midigate it, he cannot be held responsible for it.
Maybe they started bagging crack like Raekwon.

"With Roger (and potentially some other staff from the team) on the way out, you have to wonder how that will affect team chemistry for the Rockstar Makita Suzuki crew."
See Bobbym for a word beating.
In the GP's w/TC and Rui I'm not sure what cc bike they're riding.
It's not the first time KTM has been jerked around by rules that Japan didn't like.
