That’s very weird if that is real. They don’t wear anything without being told what to wear. Everything is promotional or branded so I’m really surprised he is in that. How he even knows who Deegan is surprises me, that he would wear it like 7 weeks after it even made sense is even weirder
Who cares?
You aren't even close to being correct in this whole statement.
i wouldnt doubt. hes also a big rally fan.
he used to be daniel ricciardo's team mate, and the aussie is a big US mx/sx fan

I definitely had one of those WTF moments after reading that too.
How is this surprising? A famous person is a fan of the most influential and aggressive rider we’ve had since James Stewart. Of course famous people are going to pay attention.
To answer the OPs question, it is apparent Lando is a Deegan fan, he is wearing his sweatshirt as you pointed out. He is a polarizing athlete and actually does have a few fans. I can see some find this preposterous which is odd.
"I dunno if he's a fan or was just giving this to wear."
"How he even knows who Deegan is surprises me"
My god... the people who hate this kid really are completely clueless aren't they?
Im sorry haters... but this kid is a global celebrity. Deal with it. 🤣
"but.... but.... but.... he's a meanie!!!!"
Lando is a monster sponsored athlete, no? Makes sense.
Ah ok, sorry. The former McLaren driver that I am friends with that I witnessed living exactly this life must have been a fantasy then. I bow to your greater knowledge. Sorry for my mistake. Edit: or to be fair, that was in the days they were sponsored by hugo boss, so perhaps that had something to do with it, perhaps these days its more open for them. All the same, I'm surprised he'd wear something that could cause issue, making light of someone being on the wrong side of the cops doesn't feel like a wise move.
Haha nothing you said it accurate. These guys show up to the track wearing whatever the hell they want.
A lot of f1 guys are moto fans. This isn’t a shock.
Does it physically hurt being this ignorant?
That's awesome!
Not that any non moto fan would have a clue about who that is on his shirt, still cool to see the one of the top stars in F1 showing that they can be fans of other athletes/ sports just like us.
Sorry but teams do have a say in what drivers wear when they arrive at the circuit — especially on race weekends. Arrival photos are part of the media coverage now, and sponsor visibility is a huge deal. Most drivers are required by contract to wear team-branded or sponsor-approved gear during official duties, and arriving at the track falls into that. Clearly the fact McLaren not only photographed this but shared it means they are ok with it, which is what surprised me.
Even drivers with more personal branding freedom, like Hamilton, are strategic about what they wear to avoid conflicts. So yes, teams definitely care about — and often control — those appearances. Anyone that doesn't understand that, well...
To your point, I offer exhibit A. I will say, I find Lando wearing a Deegan sweatshirt much less 'offensive':

Should wear that to the met gala
he sponsors Lotte van Drunen
Lewis Hamilton actually negotiated a specific clause into his contract when he left McLaren — a team known for its strict dress code, which he openly disliked. That clause allows him to wear what he wants at certain times, including when arriving at the track. And that’s precisely the point: other teams do control or influence what their drivers wear during race weekends. Hamilton’s freedom isn’t the norm — it’s the result of deliberate negotiation. Even then, he doesn't just throw on anything — he collaborates with his stylist, Eric McNeal, to create curated looks. So no, he doesn’t get to wear whatever he wants either.
Pit Row
That's badass. Love seeing the Moto world getting some love and exposure any way we can. Especially in a prestigious and popular sport like F1.
You just name dropped without dropping a name.
What the hell is that a pimp suit?
😁
You're on point today bud.
Probably got the email from shopdeegan.com like the rest of us..and ordered it up. 😉
Wow. As SMF and 226 are pointing out…
If you think Lando doesn’t know what that image is all about…and why…then I’m quite sure some fans are even bigger kooks than we all assumed.🤣
The wry humor and camaraderie that’s a part of the life of all these racers…well…that seems lost on too many keyboard warriors.
But, I digress.
Mea Culpa
Beeby has no idea what he's talking about .LMAO. It's very clear he hasn't tuned into an F1 race in decades, if ever. Google "Lewis Hamilton media day" dude.
ANYWAY. Cool to see this in the F1 world. Not a Deegan fan but you can't argue with his impact and now his results. Good for him. I think Lando wants channel himself some Dangerboy haha.
Spoiled kid fan of anothe spoiled kid. News at 11!
There are a lot of "fans" that need to get out in some sunlight a lot more often lol. Another fandom realm that a lot of people are completely clueless about is the music industry.
You’re welcome to challenge me on this — happy to jump on a call if you’d like. I’ve attended 26 F1 races, grew up near Silverstone, and have spent time with several drivers and photographers from Sutton Motorsport who’ve covered thousands of races. I don’t say this to brag — just to point out that I’m not speaking casually or without experience.
Sometimes, criticism isn’t the best way to make a point — and in this case, you’re simply mistaken. As I’ve already noted, McLaren has clear rules around driver attire. They were especially strict during the Ron Dennis era, but the team still controls what drivers wear during official events.
Lewis Hamilton is a unique case because he negotiated a clause into his contract specifically allowing him to dress differently at certain times — including track arrivals. Even then, his looks are curated by his stylist, Eric McNeal. So no, he doesn’t just wear whatever he wants.
We can go back and forth all day, but those are the facts
So who's your F1 acquaintance? I would be inclined to believe that there are some rules for attire, but they are not the same for every driver/team and more about how they don't want you to dress.
Lando is humble tho
