It's pretty funny he did that. He looked pissed after the moto and I walked up to my daughter and said I'll bet he would like to give someone the finger after the booing and yelling go home. Didn't know he actually did it. Good for Trey telling those yelling to knock it off.

Shouldn't this thread be there also? Really most of the threads on this page could fall under one of the 4 threads about todays 4 motos. Kind of silly I think to have to read the whole damn thread to see what's going on. Shouldn't the title explain it a bit.

Hey ..., maybe check the posting rules, and then get back to us. It'll give you a bit more info to work with.

Rule books are for those who want to be told what to do and how to do it. Vital should promote open ended conversation of all ideas and philosophies.

So four separate threads about one trivial little hand gesture is good for sharing ideas and philosophies?

It was totally irrelevant and the powers that be were right to remove the threads before we had 10 pages of sensationalist nonsense.

Yea, we never have seperate threads about the same thing here. Hell we could just go with about 10 different threads and leave them on here permanently. J-law, JS, 250 moto, 450 moto, etc. etc.

It's pathetic that he has to deal with idiots like that. The kid has poured his heart and soul into the sport, is so fun to watch, and is lucky to be even walking let alone riding a dirtbike WFO like he did at Steel City. He rides clean and smart, but for some reason people still don't like him? They should feel lucky to have witnessed the good racing he provides.

I agree.
The booing and chanting go home is pretty lame and I for one will never understand it. Unsure

I could some what understand it if he would have put Trey on the ground or pulled some dirty moves. But he has been racing his heart out and doing it clean.
Seems like Trey & CP both have respect for each other,I don't know why the fans cant respect them both.

Its only on RACE DAYS that we do that, and have been for almost two years. We used to get 5+ threads started at the same time when ever a rider pulled a tear off. That is why on race days we do the moto threads, to try and keep some sort of organization on the front page during busy race days, every Tom, Dick and Harry used to post a new thread for ever little incident that happens on the track, instead of taking a whole 30 seconds to look at the board and respond to the thread already started. If you cant grasp our reasoning, then i cant help ya.

If you dont like how the place is ran, feel free to go somewhere else.

When Unadilla was going on there were only about 19 different Stewart threads going on in addition to the Moto Discussions.

So it's okay for one and not the other?

First let me say I never boo riders antime and don't like it when others do. Having said that, he's a pompous, arrogant ass that seems to think we should like him for his arrogance. I will never like him after the comments he made about Dungey last year after he LOST the title. A little bit of humility goes a long way to having fans. Lucky to have him over here? Why? There are plent of fast Euros that do have humility, send us one of those and keep the asshats. JMO All this is said after I pulled for him all year to beat Dungey last year until........

Just wanted to add, have you ever heard him say, "I got beat straight-up, congrats to so and so." I haven't. It's always my bike did this and my throttle was hard to pull. A lapper got in my way. Wah, wah, wah.. I thought he was suppose to be on the best bike there was in all of eternity. Why is he bitching about it. Imagine if he got on a KTM, built in excuse. That's probably why he's considering it.

I've known Ryan since he was riding a KX60. Get over it. I have. You've probably said worse things to people that are close to you. I know I have.

I haven't seen any behavior from CP that I'd consider "arrogant".

Dude you're like 35 minutes from Dade City MX, on an off weekend you might find CP there. Everyone says he is very approachable, nice and funny.

In Mediterranean cultures (like France), the finger has a different meaning. From wikipedia:
extending the digitus impudicus was one of many methods used to divert the ever-present threat of the evil eye.
So before you give any meaning to what Christophe meant by it, you have to ask yourself how well he has integrated the American culture.

I remember him saying that about RD and thinking man it's easy to say that when your the won with less points and I thought RD did the right thing- Fast forward to now....CP is in the same situation as RD was and when asked how he would handle the last race he said I am going to try my hardest to win it...I believe I need to show these guys why I deserve to be the champion. Love him or hate him he's consistent-I still think RD did the right thing but how can you not like CP's bravery and honor?

Only Poorcel would have people making excuses for him giving the finger. Can you imagine if Dungey or Canard would have done that? You'd never hear the end of it. How about JS? What if he'd have done it? As far as going to Dade City to see CP, I wouldn't walk across the street to shake his hand. Seriously. There might be one other person more arrogant then CP and that's Randy Yoho, runs Dade city. JMO, feel free to disagree.
