Zach Osborne Joins Beta USA as MX
Brand Ambassador
Beta USA is proud to welcome Zach Osborne as the company’s newest Brand Ambassador. In his new role, Osborne will contribute to the brand’s growth by assisting with bike testing, working closely with Beta’s riders, and attending select events across the country to promote the Beta name.
Osborne brings a wealth of experience to the team. A household name in the racing world, his professional career spans over 16 years and includes four major U.S. championships. He was crowned the AMA Pro Motocross 450 Class Champion in 2020 and claimed both the 250SX East and 250MX Championships in 2017. His career highlights also include 20 AMA Pro Motocross 250 Class podiums, 7 wins in the 250 class, and 4 victories in the 450 class. Following his Supercross and Motocross retirement, Osborne returned to full-time racing in 2022 in the off-road world as well in GNCC competition.
“I’m honored to be a part of the Beta family. They are carving out a neat spot as a brand in our sport, and I’m excited for their future. I hope I can add momentum to the great work they are already doing and have some fun along the way,” said Osborne.
Tim Pilg from Beta USA, "I am very happy to have Zach be a part of our special company. Our race team has already been very successful these past couple seasons in all aspects of events and Zach will be able to add even more to that success. We not only have him working on the racing side of things but also in attending some different ride events and representing the Beta brand as well in a fun way. It is going to be a great year!"

Just gonna post that. This should be good for Beta.
Nice move by Beta, getting more serious.

This is pretty cool news!

Love it!! Haven’t had a solid favorite since Zach retired.
Malcom would’ve been a good fit. Triumph grabbed him!
That is a very serious commitment to MX. First the 450 team, now a recent champ as brand ambassador.
What happened with him and AMPRO? I thought he was going to dip his toe in offroad.
Got hurt before the season and never really got back up to speed to be competitive.
I could have my details wrong but I think it was a 2 year deal and they both opted out of the second year.
Hope to see Zacho rip around at an offroad race on a Beta.
Honest question; do the “brand ambassadors” actually move the needle on sales? I mean are people now going to rush out to buy a Beta because Zach’s the face of the company? Also, how much does the cost of a brand ambassador add to the price of a unit? I understand that it comes out of the marketing bucket of the company but it still effects the bottom line.
Nice cash grab
Wacko Beta Zach-O?
SnackPak way to go Beta.
Move the needle? I don’t know. But I did immediately go to their website and check out an X-Trainer 250 and the new ALP X.
So where was the presser that Beta was going to ride outdoors this year? Son told me Benny was in and yes, I may be living under a rock lately. If someone could post a link that would be great.
I believe they said “select” outdoor rounds this year .
Well they should select them all!
Pit Row
They are missing out by not racing the outdoors. That is where their customer base is at.
He's been known to show up at an FTR Hare Scramble or two.
I don't think a brand ambassador salary is going to put Beta in a bind.
It's likely comparable cost to adding a 3rd guy to their SX team, the cost is higher in paycheck but less in expenses, so it evens out to roughly the same.
and it's a smart move because Zach O riding will get more visibility and reputation building than would adding a 3rd 10-15th place SX racer.
What is interesting is that Beta doesn't offer a contingency program and they make Rodney Smith and Josh Strang hold real jobs to get their money.
Totally agree. Eyes on product sells.
...it's great to see Zach get this position though.
Need an example of how silly our sport is?
Osborne is on PulpMX to discuss his new role as a Beta Brand Ambassador, he hasn't ridden the bike yet!!!
I watched some random dude walk right up to Zacho while he was in the sign up line at the Okeechobee round a few years ago and ask him out of the blue “Hey Zach, what’s your shim stack setup like?” and Zacho just stared at him completely blindsided by that question and murmured out “uhh, I don’t really know to be honest” 😂
I chuckled at this too when I heard it, even skipped back to it to make sure I heard it right.
I reckon your comment is a better example of how silly our sport is.
He’s their brand ambassador, not a racer.
I would ambassador the shit out of any brand willing to pay me.
I give him credit for being honest, but in a serious industry they would atleast have prepared talking points about a product before doing a show.
I lost all respect for Osborne when he was clearly trailing Savatgy and undercut that left hander and blatantly slammed into Savatgy with the stupid take out move years ago.
Would you like some cheese with your whine???
It worked, so maybe it wasn't so stupid!
