He's had a great career and he is a winner. The winning stops now though. He wont get close to Deegan this summer and its on to the 450 class next year. Congrats on the title Tom

Precisely. Very impressed with how he’s gelled so quickly with SX.

Expectations for outdoors are higher. Time to live up to them for the MX series too

having two titles and only 3 main event wins is pretty amazing,

So is having back-to-back 250SX titles in three years with three years of SX riding experience.

There's no opening for that position.

But perhaps it's just semantics?

Considering it's in the quote from my original comment, the obvious answer would be, "yes". 😄

I was hinting at the fact that "boyfriend" wouldn't apply, no matter what pronouns are acceptable. 😉

No worries, just a disconnect that's starting to sound like a conversation with my wife... and she is my wife.  😁

Have you never heard the response of "If your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle" to a person with an "If A then B" statement?

You understand that was the meaning of my original comment right? I just added a little twist.

More times than I can count.

But it seemed like an episode of "Which one of these things doesn't belong" considering who you were directing it at. 😄 Same with the sock comment - they both seem to be confusing under the circumstances. 😁

Edit: congrats to Tom, without the mud race it wouldn't have been this close to begin with.  Still devastated for Seth to lose it that way though.

So the injuries helped Tom but not Seth?

Tom just needs to let Deegan beat himself and the MX title is his.

So from your personal perspective it was funny because of what you knew. Ok, got it.

He would have won this championship easily if not for Mother Nature causing a 22nd place finish for him. I guess it’s justice making its way back around. But it still sucks for Seth. RJ is a complete idiot. If I were Seth I would punt him every chance I got in MX.

One thing is perfectly clear - this is the most cromulent conversation I've had in a while. 😄

And thats it for him on a 250 in supercross too.  Vialle has been very consistent and opportunistic in supercross.  2 titles in 3 years back to back, not too bad for a guy with virtually no supercross experience until 2022

There are riders with an incredible sense of where and when to apply risk. They are in contention almost no matter what happens.

And there are riders who are capable of winning, but tend to blame 'bad luck' for every bonehead choice they make on the track.

Tom is definitely the former.

Good post. He spotted the guys all one race and he still ended up with the most points. Had the mud race not happened the race would have been way less dramatic and we wouldn’t be here talking about it. It was one of the three craziest final round east west showdowns I’ve ever seen.

I hope he comes out firing for outdoors.

Consistent and fast. He'll be in the hunt for every championship he enters. I wouldn't pick him to perform in a clutch situation, but I think he'll be lurking in a lot of points chases.

This is facts. Theres a couple guys like mcadoo, rj, forkner that really seem to have a looooot of “bad luck”.
