My buddy Tanner crashed last Thursday into some trees, after over jumping a creek on a cross-country track, and ended up getting jabbed in the knee by a branch, tearing his ACL.
Things didn't seem too serious until he later developed a blood clot in his lung. Nobody is for sure whether the clot formed from the impact of the crash, or due to his knee surgery. Either way, the doctor said if he develops another one, he's more than likely probably not going to live. I've known Tanner for about five years now, and he's a really good kid.
So, prayers and good vibes are welcome.

He's definitely got a lot of people praying for him.
I had just gotten back from the hospital before I posted this thread. From what I just heard from my friend Chance, who was recently up there, said his knee is now infected, and he has pneumonia in both lungs.
I'm kind of mad about all this, because it seems to have a lot to do with people "fumbling the football" on the clock. From what I currently understand, the hospital never had him get up and move around after the surgery to prevent blood clots, which is something my mother, a former nurse, said is a pretty standard procedure.
Also, A wound care specialist that I know, also told me they should have put him on blood thinner, either before, or right after the surgery, to prevent blood clots. I'm also disappointed his wound is now infected. I know crap happens, but this hospital seems to be making a lot of mistakes (that is, if my mother and this nurse know what they are talking about). I'm definitely don't belong working in a hospital, so I'm just kind of taking their word for it. But based on my past experience with these local hospitals, I think if he were being treated at a bigger hospital, in a bigger city, this thread would be unnecessary.
But anyways, once again, thanks for the prayers and good vibes.
And in case anyone couldn't tell. The whip photo is photoshopped. Every time Tanner has some new riding photos uploaded to facebook, I usually end up photoshopping a couple for laughs and post them on his wall.
