Jumped timing somehow? Tipped over in a sand corner. Picked the bike up and it sounded awful.

Had someone take the top off and it was it was an entire tooth off. Maybe two.

8 hours on it.

But I took to a different dealer this time after getting in touch with the warranty manager of triumph. They're rebuilding almost my entire engine. Lol

How are people getting rhe triumph 250 remapped? Heard the 24 engine is a bit funky because of mapping?

Are left over 24s in the dealers getting updated recall or maps?

How does the stock 24 run?

Call your dealer, ask them to run your vin for the recall/update package… they should be able to figure it out.

The one I purchased last month had the updated mapping, the new clutch parts, and the more waterproof switch. From what I understand the ones at dealers have to be updated before they are sold.

Just bought a 2025 to replace my 24. I was going through greasing everything and i noticed that the linkage was slightly different. The one on my 24 was polished and smooth all around, and my 2025 is cast linkage with the standard cast marks on it. Has anyone else noticed this?

When I was pulling apart my 24 I was kind of surprised how nice that looked. Probably a cost saving measure going forward.

I got my switches from Anchor Tape in. These were worth the wait. Of course, a couple days after I ordered mine they had a 15% off sale. Haha

You still got all this Enduro Engineering stuff?

The 15 percent off sale wasn’t intended for the vented plates or start buttons. Was only supposed to be for the tape 😂😂 didn’t notice that mistake until someone had ordered and we caught it. ⚓️🤙🏼

Ah. Well either way I’m very happy with the quality of this kit and after listening to the Keefer podcast happy to support you and what you’re doing.

Any plans to make a smaller map switch? I would definitely be interested in that.

I could Probably do it with these older Yamaha map switches. Just have to add it to the cluster ass well. I’ll play with it when I get a bike in and let you know. IMG 0527 6

That would be cool!

And since I noticed the other day the MXGP bikes have all black plastic, is there any plans to offer them for sale? I know you’re involved on the US side, just wondering if you had any way of finding that out.

I’m kind of surprised there isn’t any aftermarket plastic yet. Would love to see Acerbis come out with a grey kit.

I saw a couple at the last woods race I was at, I've noticed it in videos too.

Does anyone know what the whine sort of whistle sound is on these bikes? Almost sounds like the way they cut the gears is different or something have an almost electric sound to them.

I would like to know this too. Mine has a distinct sound compared to how my previous four strokes sounded.

Does it sound like that in neutral too? My only real guess would be possibly the way they have cut the gears for the counterbalancer or primary gear.

Just saw that Acerbis now has a plastic skid plate for the bike on their website. Really hoping for aftermarket plastics in various colors too. I’m still kind of on the fence about the black front end.

Where? I go to "Choose your model" on the main page and Triumph doesn't come up. I already ordered an EE skid plate because I was getting inpatient lol.

Got a leftover 24 250 a month ago and it is an awesome bike! I ride offroad and it's been great. Haven't had a real rock run with it yet but its not ready just yet. Love the power. Definitely think it has more bottom end then my 23 250 KTM. Its also quieter and more comfortable to stand at slower speeds.

I will say for off road I wish it had a 6th gear. It has the motor to pull it.

Yeah even at idle it has a bit of a whine. And every video I’ve watched of both the 250 and 450 you can hear it.

You could probably call or email them with the part number for the EU site and see if it’s available. If anything it should be coming here eventually I would imagine.

Probably more of a straight cut gear. Old school car guys know that sound well.

I believe it’s the oil pump primary gears. I’ve order a new set to get them made out of aluminum to replace the plastic ones like in the KTM. Not positive but I think it’s it. Because if it’s the cam gears that’s wild.

Hope you have a way to get those aluminum gears hard ano'd or something.   People putting raw cnc'd aluminum gears in the KTM's found out it's not the ticket.  They get chewed up by the steel primary gear that drives them and then muddy the oil all up and get sloppy and worse than the plastic gears.  Some of the aftermarket aluminum ones available are also not made to very good tolerances and are sloppy.

Has anyone figured out a way to download the service manual?

Seems ridiculous I'm going to have to pay $8 a month for the lifetime of this bike...

Just a heads up, but check with your local dealer regarding sale prices on parts and accessories. I just got 50% off a WiFi tuning module and the gripper seat. I got those two parts and two more oil filters for $204 out the door. I was so tempted to also get the Akrapovic exhaust, but decided to hold off.

I’m currently seeing if they will get me a set of wheels for the same 50% off deal. It would work out to about $560 for the wheels plus another $120 for both brake rotors and hardware.

Edit: just heard back that OEM parts aren’t included. Only accessories and apparel. So no go on the wheels.

Had my first race on the Triumph. And first race in about twenty years. Managed a fifth overall and fifth in class in 40+. They ran 40+ and 50+ on the same gate, seven riders in each class. My goal was to not crash and have fun, and I accomplished both. I really need to work on getting in shape again. That’s the biggest thing holding me back these days. And now I want to hit a few more races this summer.

Was at one of the "local" tracks here this last week. There were three Triumphs on the track. One of the three had a very distinct whistle noise, similar to a turbo whine. I could hear it halfway around the track from the pits.
