I don't think Honda had two bikes sitting idle during the 80's and 90's.

As far as I heard at Southwick this weekend he hadn't signed yet, but he is asking for ALOT of money. I know he wants significantly more (3 times more) than Dungey just re-signed for, and I don't think he will get it.
Huh?
I read right here on Vital that Dungey WASN'T GETTING PAID!

The times have changed since the 1980s team honda domination. Nobody can afford two more less 3,4,5 of the top guys. The amateur scene is dying fast. We ride 4 year old bikes. The shit must change quick. We beg for two strokes because we can afford to keep them running. For the love of God does anyone care?

Pourcel, Reed and Canard would be a sort of Dream Team for Honda.

Dungey is going to be pretty hard to beat...but those are about the only 3 guys that will have a legitimate chance at beating him next year. I'm kind of iffy on Reed and what he's capable of next year especially if his still on the Kwak, but I have no doubt Canard, and also Pourcel, will win races.

I don't think anyone should pay him what Dungey is making. Make him accept what they are willing to offer. He is not the next Carmichael by any means so why pay him top dollar? Tell him to go back home and ride if he doesn't like it.

I agree. Let him beat RD for a title before he demands the big bucks. Right now I don't think he can. If he goes back home I don't think he'll be AC either. Stays in the lights class and he's got Musquin to deal with. No win situation.

I see Frenchy being a forth to fifth place guy behind RV, JS, RD and TC

So Kawi is the new Suzuki? Not too long ago, the 'experts' agreed that RC was commiting career suicide by going yellow. I remember someone saying after RC smoked a clutch at the Open SX, that he'd never win another race. Reed won the first round of the outdoors on the Kwak and appeared to be on top of the world. Funny how six or so weeks of smack downs turned the first and second place bikes from the first round into undeniable turds.

True, and good point.

But they've both crashed out hard - Are the bikes shit hard to ride at that speed?

LOL! Sometimes they try to hide it with arguments, that's even funnier! This is not a chaos theory people. Right now it seems the economy is suffering still and CP offfers migh be less than before and he will get what he deserves. I dont' think he's worth more than RD for any team? For me he is though.

I dunno what his mind set is, but now since he has been in the US for a while, maybe that goal is accomplished (I assume he will win the title and with that SX lites title anyone should be happy) and an offer from Europe might also be an option in the end? We euros (despite country) love him, and would be so damn happy to get him back.

But I think he will stick around in US for a while despite the haters and fat chicks because he has things to prove yet.

Just saying of course!
