I don't think he has a lot of smoker seat time. Since he came out of the B class, maybe he never rode anything besides an 80.

I saw Jake weimer riding an 06 KX125 around GH and that looked still pretty up to date and factory so an 08 with factory wouldn't be that bad and by the way the YZ250 has been the same for the kast 3-4 yrs so i think it's fair to say that the RM 08 model ain't to bad

dungey rode 2 strokes in the schoolboy classes before he moved to the B class im pretty sure.

i know i have a video around somewhere of him on a podium winning a championship, with a 2 stroke in the background on the podium.

He could borrow RC's factory 2 stroke-I'm sure he still has it on the ranch, no? Here is the thing though-it obviously hurts his chances of winning and adding another win to the record book, and don't think he isn't keeping track....

It's a move that doesn't make sense for Suzuki...

If and that's a if , how do you think he would go

no one wants to give up the 450 advantage, its a shame really, but cant blame dungey for risking another 2 moto wins....

I would love to see RD bust out an all out goon ride or throw down some solid whips at the last 3 rounds. Just to show a little attitude and excitement, I think he's earned the right to show off a little and I hope he does something funny to put an explanation point on his season.

Perhaps something whacky like Valentino Rossi or Jorge Lorenzo when they celebrate a MotoGP win.

Hmmm, then again, maybe not.

Why is there allways some dick that has to try to put someone down on here? Dumbest thread ever? I think Kong is just saying it would be cool (it would be), Not that it's going to happen (it's not). Don't pay attention to the jackass.

No doubt, it'd be so awesome to see and hear the top fast guy wringing out the RM.

It'd be a great PR move for RD, not so good for his race win count and probably not something Suzuki would be into.

i really like the idea of someone racing a 2 stroke.someones bound to. hell, at the last race of every sx/mx season someone says, "hey, "insert name here" should ride a 2 stroke at the last round of the year". yes it would be so badass to see, just dont think anyone actually would have the balls or the pride to actually ride on. but damn it, it would be awesome to see. and hear. and smell.

I would love to see a top pro race a 2 stroke if nothing else just out of curiosity to see how well they could do on it . But I think we all know we will not see an active top pro race one in the foreseeable future . The best you could hope for is to see a recently retired/semi retired top pro race one for fun .

I hope to God one day these AMA morons wake up and realize how much better this sport would be if they banned 4 strokes and brought back the smokers.

Unfortunately DC has already hurt the integrity of the sport by doing this one day Saturday crap. We need to get mx back to its roots and it's a long ways from being what it was and should be. Oh yeah thanks for cheating the fans out of real qualifying too guys. Awesome decision making going on at headquarters!

Do we really have to have the same threads over and over again... I could of swore last week we just had a Josh Grant 2 stroke at Pala followed by a RV 2 stroke at Pala and now a Dungey 2 stroke at Pala...

2 stroke are fun to watch, listen and smell.... but they will never be competitive in the 450cc class. Please let it go.

It would be awesome and I bet he would do just fine on it. Probably could even still win.

Won't happen of course. Suzuki isn't in the business of selling 2-strokes anymore.

Looking at their numbers you'd think they aren't in the business of selling ANY bikes anymore.

If he did, I would go watch.
Since he isn't, I won't.

SX is bearable only because its cleaner, and more quality scenery.

They apparently still have new '08 RM 250's available. Check their web site.

Actually, it would be cool to see one of the Yamaha guys pull one out and if the points are already decided what harm could it do? I've thrown the idea out there before (last year, but not for Dungey).

Not going to happen. No way. Suzuki isn't going to give up the R&D money or time to get Dungey competitive on a 2 stroke for one race. Dungey isn't going to give up his possible win bonus to ride a 2 stroke for one race. Leave the 2 strokes to us weekend warriors.
