Thought you guys might want to see these.

js7 I just hope that you guys can understand. It's been a very tuff decision but the right choice was made. I'm sorry that I let you guys down.

js7 It's been a long road to come back and unfortunately it was to soon. Ok I'll let some people run with that, but I'll admit when I'm wrong

js7 I stand behind my team and sponsors and they stand behind me. But I wanted to personally say I'm sorry to my REAL Fans. It's far from over.

js7 For the people who called me a quitter, I want to say..... Thank you. That means you care about me enough to call me one. Smile

js7 Thank you for all the love. I'm reading the comments and they are putting a huge smile on my face. Thank you again.

js7 Wow I'm totally beside myself by reading these comments. Thank you thank you thank you. Wow this is awesome

js7 This is why when I race, I go wide open bc of the support I get from you guys. Win or Crash trying.

I see a typo last line......win or quit trying is the new motto.

It's fine, it's not as if humor or sarcasm is in abundance in this thread anyhow.

I knew it............I said it a week ago and every body bagged on me for having a hard on for Stewart!

I will say it and I will say it again.....i don't think he will win many more championships if that, no matter what any body says......Screw it,I'm over it! Go Dungey, ........."All American #1" YEAH !!!!!

There's something about this that's far below what a champion would do. Too bad JS doesn't see it.

RC saying he was going to get his gun and shoot Matthes in the head was bizarre. I remember the end of the race but didn't know that was what Carmichael was saying.

Uhhh can I ask if has James Stewart referred to himself at the third person yet?

Still a damn shame he backed out.

Larry Brooks and James Stewart - neither of these guys tells the truth.

And does anyone truly believe that James is even writing these press releases? Stewart has lost the plot. He's come into a shit load of money over the last few years and it's fucked his head up. I guess when he went 24-0 he lost interest in moto. the lame TV show is gay. the bling, bling, bling ferraris and Lambo cars with fancy tires are gay. At his age he should still be out there racing - both series..

At any rate, Bubs and Larry Brooks should just get the fuck out of the way so that we can all get on with the motocross series and the MXdN.

He got a taste of reality today and i'm guessing it didn't taste good to him.I'll be totally surprised to see him outdoors again this year.

I hate to say I told u so but.....

Maybe he should put on his "big girl panties" and try it again.

PS Make no mistake about it ...The fastest man on the planet will be at the last three nationals....

wow...... my initial internet pundit thought is- he looks like the kid who found out he can't win so he takes his ball and goes home...

so.... what if RD crushes him at A1?? more accurately.. what will Bubba do when RD crushes him at A1??

and his sponsors gotta be getting pissed at this point..... he may think they are 100% behind him, but certainly they are looking for the next champion that will get them more exposure (and one that actually races)...

hope Bubba paid cash for all his bling in case his salary takes a dive in the near future (insert photoshop of Bubbas face on McDonalds drive through employee)....

I think your correct, Alessi when hurt did everthing possible to get back out on the track including riding with a broken knee cap. For all of the Alessi's faults atleast he has heart and a passion to be out racing.

Doesn't matter whether it's Stewart's decision, LB's,the team sponsors, or all of the above, but he WILL lose a lot of fans over this thing. Perception is reality. Does it matter? Maybe not, and maybe he'll win the lost fans back in SX. I mean, it's JS7... obviously he has what it takes to win and dominate. BUT, IF somehow he starts getting beat in SX by RD, RV, and CP, it will be the beginning of the end. I don't think his ego or confidence can handle it because he's so used to winning (save for some Nats against RC) and being told he's the 'fastest man on the planet'. His biggest challenge from here on out will be a mental one.

I was about to buy some answer gear, and possibly some TAG bars to get myself and bike ready for the coming season.......

now I say f**k it. Ill get fox and renthal (probably a better choice anyway)

chaps my hide, if you can get a podium in a moto, its BS you can not ride within yourself and actually "race" BS on the whole thing

they said the same thing when another floridian left honda, went to suzuki and sat out SX to get his knee fixed... he was done, stick a fork in him, hes worthless, pick anything bad to say as a forum troll and it was said..... then he came out and went 24-0 and another SX title.

Any of you that actually race should know where he is coming from. He said he is not ready. I'm sure he thought he was ready and had some handlers pumping him up that he was ready, but the proof is in the pudding when he finished that first moto at 'dilla (Which was a pretty awesome feat to finish 3rd)...he wasn't ready. What, with all 2-3 weeks to prepare?

I can respect his decision. Sure, as any fan of the sport, Iwould love to see him out there, but it's his career, his body, his decision. Why risk it? For the fans? At least he gave it a shot, no?

He gets ragged on for not racing, the guy makes an effort to return, realizes he's not ready, and gets ragged on some more...I say fuck the fans...at least the haters anyway!

HAHAHAHAHA

You idiot.

He CAN race and not get hurt.

its called backing it down, too bad stewy doesnt understand that concept.

for all you that say "good for him!! etc etc...." its a joke. if he cant win, he wont race, cry baby.

-i would like to qualify that i was BIG stewart fan before this season. Injuries aside, i certainly understand injuries, its his decision to not race because he wasn't picked for the MXDN and he can't beat Dungey.

i call this being a P***y.

Yeah, because backing it down during a RACE makes way more sense...How's your trophy room look? I'm sure it's bitchin with all those 9th place ribbons and all...

Yes he could go out and race, he could podium for sure maybe even win several races. But he won't because there is nothing in it for him, I mean sure he would get some TV time on speed, and some purse money, and his sponsers would actually get to be seen on the podium, and his fans and non fans would actually get to see him ride, but that isn't enought to get him out there to race.

He is not in this for any of those things, remember its a business to him. There has to be more insentive for him to race than just those things. Look his sponsors have already signed the contract, he is already paid, he doesn't need to ride. Look I know his wrist is fine, he just needs some more motivation. Guys we need to find out just how much it would take to get James back out on the track, maybe we can do a paypal account and people can donate so we can see James ride again. It is a business after all and he's not going to ride for free, so let pony up for him. After all how much is it worth to see the fastest man on the planet ride?

nice comeback!

Comparing amateur racing to pro racing is a joke. He has FANS, sponsorships, and a team to support. He pretty much said he doesn't care that much about those things and would rather wait it out until he can win and ONLY win.

Is that a way to treat people who have supported you through thick and thin?
If I had 1 measly sponsor, tire depot of San Bernadino or whatever, I would race every race I could physically bring myself to.

His arrogance has shown itself. STFU.

Greg, he was still on Honda when he sat out SX, remember he came back for outdoors and on a 4stroke. I still have that 1st video they released of him practicing on a 4 stroke for the first time, it was almost scary. The next year he went to Suz.
