It’s almost as if the affected populous was warned “4+” hours in advance?! 🤣
Luckily none of this will matter when the tariffs hit next week and the economy gets wrecked.
Hi Eddy,
Ward explains there were multiple targets including the girlfriend's house of a particularly high-value target that on-the-ground intelligence indicated would be at that location during the strike.
BTW Top Scope is Navy talk for RIO (Radar Intercept Officer), not the pilot.
Best
I know of the building and the collapse - from the messages. I'd also assume there were other civilians around the building. I wonder if he went to his GF's to hide out. Because he was aware the strikes were coming. Seems like we had decent intel on him...I'd also assume we had drone footage of his movements too along with an asset on the ground feeding intel to an intelligence officer. Then up the chain.

I'm not sure, he didn't get into the details. I'm guessing you're right, he was hiding out there. Hopefully they got the bad guy without civilian casualties!
Eddy, I understand what you’re saying but I don’t think that the MC comparison is apt.
I’d compare it to workplace safety more than that. Imagine you have a large grinder/shredder that consumes cardboard for recycling. You have a maintenance tech working on the machine, and he intentionally leaves tools on the top of the grinder because he thinks it’ll save him time if he needs to work on it later. It’s obviously a safety hazard because the tools could fall in the grinder and cause catastrophic failure, and that might actually lead to injuries to people working nearby.
Now, you discover that the tech left the tools there intentionally. Do you view it as not a big deal because luckily the tools didn’t fall into the grinder? Or do you treat it as the unsafe act that it is and hold the tech accountable?
I understand what you are saying. But there's no harm done. Other than a talk and making sure it doesn't happen again. No big deal. If they do it a second time... I'd of moved the tools and grind wood with the grinder and fill it with saw dust. Put the tools back and watch their reaction when it catches fire once they start grinding metal. lol Then fire their ass if it was 2X tool misplacement guy.
I deal with people often in regards to security breaches ect...Fixed plenty of screw ups over the years. I've done red team pen testing work and all that good consultant stuff. When we compromised a target - I always congratulated them. They would look at me like I was nuts. I would say you learned something today and people much smarter than you have made bigger mistakes. Educate them and stay positive -that's all you can really do. If something happened twice...like lets say I was able to copy someones access badge to breach a facility and use it to get in to gather more intel ect... Now if I did lets twice within a year to that same employee - who had their access badge exposed in a public place where i could copy it easily. They were getting canned.
In the meantime...
Have to disagree with you here. In your anectote, yes, give that guy a second chance.
The level these guys are at, the power they wield and the lives that count on them mean that there is no margin for error here. You simply cannot have f ups of this scale. This is the US military, supposed to be the best in the world, and the guys at the very top of it have embarrassed every single soldier, sailor, marine, and pilot.
Not only that, now that the world has seen this incompetence, there will be many more attempts to gain access to sensitive info passing between these people. Your enemies, who may have never even considered the possibility, will be trying more to worm their way in and access sensitive info.
Actually there was margin for error. The mission was a success even with their error. That is fact. No and's if's or but's about it!
By the way - every human on this planet is vulnerable to security issues. Even the best of the best in the sec industry. Shit happens to the best of them.
All we can do is train them and let them learn from their lessons.
I don't know of one active duty person that is embarrassed. lol Other than the folks involved in the convo. And they should be embarrassed.
Plenty of our enemies try to worm their way in every second of the day,you can track the attacks here https://threatmap.checkpoint.com/
You know what really, really, really makes these Kooky TDS sufferers sooooooooo pissed off?
Mission Success
Because, they don’t understand it.
😂
I'm confident you don't live your life in a way that reflects your continued statement that the end result means there's no problem with the process. If a pilot flies drunk but doesn't crash is that just a learning lesson? He good to fly tomorrow because he didn't crash? Run a red light and don't crash, no problem....? countless examples in every day life that do not line up at all with the approach you're taking on this.
We aren't talking consuming booze and operating fighter jets. We are talking security. Yes I take it very serious. But I'm also smart enough to understand that people make mistakes. And the best way to learn is from a mistake. It's part of the sec industry. Especially in that area. It doesn't matter how smart they are. Everyone is vulnerable. Dudes made a mistake and learned from it. Not much else can be done. We could fire them and then put someone else in there and it's possible they make a mistake too. I'd rather have the guy that fucked up once and learned then a new guy I would have to worry about. Now if they fuck up a second time - that just means there will be a third. So they would be gone.
As for how I live my life - all is well.
.
You probably make in a day what I make in 2 weeks 🤣🤣
Get into tech stuff. I got @smoker into it back in 2014. He had nothing going on at the time...he started making cash - then started his own company. He's become successful last I talked to him.
Lot of Karens in here...
"I said no mustard and there's mustard on this burger!"
"I'm sorry ma'am. I'll fix a fresh one and we'll take this off your bill."
"No, I want you fired!!! Get the manager!! And don't assume my gender!!"
Like I was sayin’…

Did The Atlantic ever provide proof that classified info was shared in the chat?
Pit Row
If beating the Houthis is all you aspire to then yeah, I guess it’s fine to have F ups this bad.
If being the military that leads the free world is what you want, then this type of shit absolutely can not happen.
Ok, thank you. I will advise the President on Truth Social.
congrats....
Peaceful protesters. Lol.
Ask the citizens of Ottawa how peaceful those assholes we’re
I’m asking you since you’re from Quebec, I think.
He's definitely from Quebec. He's the Oracle of Quebec.
You do realize who was president when these things went into effect?
Yes, thank you.
There’s no Canada like French Canada!🇨🇦
I agree that mistakes happen. But they all have the same root cause and at one point you should learn from it. Firing the wrong people, publishing wrong numbers, chatting with the wrong people, etc. Those mistakes are as unnecessary as easily avoidable and yet they keep happening, hurting the perception and acception of the administration. They shoot their own foot, hurt their own credibility. Their life could be so much easier if they would just be more professional and thoughtful. Are they incapable to manage that better or do they simply not care?
The fucked part to me is the hypocrisy. All the OPSEC shit we deal with at the lower level, and the consequences we face if we fuck up. But, when the top fools fuck up it’s no big deal. Just another middle finger to the military and fed employees.
