What will teams like BBMX, RockRiver, Motoconcepts, Honda of Troy and Valli Motorsports look like in 2011?

Probably the same as they did in 2010. Nice job starting another shitty thread.

I'd be happier if you didnt have to start a pointless thread every 30 seconds just so you can see your name on the main page.

Will be interesting which riders end up on the smaller teams, with more young riders moving up to the 450 class and im guessing the chance of some Euros coming over the top rides will be filled fast, could be some really good riders on those smaller teams.

At Red Bud, I heard an interview with the Rock River owner saying they would be playing a larger role, in '11.
I have heard TiLUBE (Wey, Evans) wants to be involved again in '11, so that is good news, too.

I would assume that individual stars demanding preposterous base salaries (like Pourcel) from factories would limit the number of true factory riders, and give smaller teams a lot of talent to choose from.

When riders demand 2 million dollar base salaries, not including the millions they'll make from personal endorsements, you have to wonder what the hell they're thinking. How much money does one person need? Especially when he hasn't won a single National title? The only riders in the sport who are worth a 2 million dollar base would be someone like Reed or Stewart, who have won both SX and MX titles and have built years of extraordinary performances into their resume. But lesser riders demand it, and that is good for the satellite teams because some of them aren't going to get it, which is as it should be.

2 million dollar base salaries, when added to contingencies, energy drink bonuses, riding gear bonuses, goggle bonuses, RV endorsement bonuses, factory-paid practice facilities at their homes, travel allowances, and all the rest, could easily wind up being 4 or 5 million dollars a year. So how many motocross bikes does Suzuki even sell in a year? How much could they possibly make from them? And how much does the rest of the team cost; the mechanics, the shop, the truck drivers and transportation, the hospitality tent, the parts, the bikes...

I would really like to see Durham on Pro Circuit or Geico Honda next year. I think that HOT has done a great job with the team, but maybe that little bump in resources would be the thing to get DD to a consistent top 3. Afterall, DD and Dean Wilson were pretty equivalent coming out of LL (didn't they share the Horizon award?) but it would seem that Wilson has found a little more speed now that they're in the pro ranks.

So, if you were in Pourcel's shoes....you wouldn't be trying to get paid as much as you can, knowing that your next race may be your last pay check....?

Just like in any pro sports, you can't fault the guys wanting to get paid, fault the idiots that are paying them!! After-all, it's their fault!

You're thinking of PJ Larsen not Wilson.

Heard motoconcepts wants to step up with some bigger names (possibly a new big sponsor) but less riders, so more quality or quantity. I think it depends on if they get big sponsor they are looking for though.

no it was DD and PJ Larsen who shared it that year. Wilson didn't leave LL until the year after.

Suzuki expanding it's presence.

Talk of P.C. 450s.

Red Seven joining forces with the Honda camp.

Valli adding a 2nd "Hi-Profile"(Along the lines of IT9) rider to next-years team.

KTM bringin' -2- Rigs with a solid Lites Team on-top of -2- 450(?) riders.

There's even ruomors of Husky coming back to take a shot at U.S. SX/MX racing...

Doesn't look too bad from where I'm sittin'...

x2.....

Pourcel may or may not get his salary demand, but you can't blame him for trying!
