Blair Mathis podcast was disappointing because Daniel seemed to worn out. He can't say how good he is. He can just say he gets a lot of fan support. He hamstrung to defend himself on this. Steve can still be objective and make the benign observation that "A large group of people carry the opinion that DB was the best and the sport has never seen such a tremendous public support for a broadcaster, ever." Apparently observations are too much. Instead he seemed more concerned with Daniel burning bridges and regretting it.
Disappointing for Steve who is so beloved for his willingness to fairly criticize riders and his propensity to dive headfirst in a controversial topics.

I don't think anybody is scared to touch, it just isn't a story. As I said it would die in a couple weeks and even with an off weekend its basically dead.
The part I still cannot understand is why we have not heard from media they have reached out to RC/Feld/NBC/or the Jeff guy for their side. If it was an actual "story", they would have done that. Bottom line is nobody cares. Just listened to the Gypsy pod with Keefer. Good interview, but this came up and both of them acted like RC was good. Strange since he is beyond awful.

The main thread on vital has got to rank up there all time with engagement. It currently has 100k+ views in 2 weeks.
In 10 years observing on vital, I've never seen a poll with so much engagement (3k votes). Most are in the 2-3 hundred.
