Not only Unadilla in the American Nationals, but Farleigh Castle returns after 10 years to the British motocross championship, its grassy and natural remember the 1980s when Thorpe came from last to first.. yes that track! The Irish guys should do good.. maybe a win for Crockard in MX1 and Barr in MX2!

Before that Crockard is racing Bells Hill in Ireland on saturday - the oldest track in the country and been around since the 1950s.... if you guys think Unadillia is old school you schould see Bells Hills it is more like scrambling! Lets just say Stewart and co. would hate it - I would love to see him ride round there!

Sounds great, as I am old enough to remember looking at pictures in Cycle World magazine.

Creed, if you could post a link for photos, after the race, that would be cool.

Go to Farleighcastle.co.uk and check out the history section...tons of photos dating all the way back to 1938! It's an historic track in British MX. Lots of good 80's shots!

My dad, Stu raced motocross in Europe in the 60's, he went to the Austrian GP, probably about 7 years ago now and he said the track hadn't even changed. Even more rougher then when he rode it. Europe has old school mx tracks for sure !

I'm very proud to say this race was my introduction to Motocross at the age of four years old and my love for the sport has not stopped growing since.

I'll be there spectating on Sunday, only down the road from me. Can't wait!

After seeing pictures of the track, it's a far cry from some of the previous tracks this year

Always thought it was cool the way they would let the grass grow so high at Unadilla and the bikes would just mow it down. When's the last time it was like that?

Put a late entry in Zach, it will be good practice for Farleigh the next day... just keep an eye out for the odd tree roots. Crockard v Osborne at bells hill - brilliant! lol Smile

No that is Foxhill it was the last round of the British championship a couple of weeks ago.. it is lightening fast.. and you don't want to crash there
Bob Moore broke his ankle badly endoing on a step up on one of the hills in 1993 GP- cool vid though -Everts and Tortelli had some battle that day.

While a Euro stepped up and represented at Unadilla yesterday, your boy Zach won all three races at the historic Farleigh Castle today. He was flying and thoroughly deserved his his victories (even if he got a little lucky with 2nd race restart Wink ).

Congratulations Zach, and good luck in Brazil next weekend!

Awesome video. It was cool hearing Max Anstie's dad Mervin Ansties name too. I think he went down with Dave Thorpe at the beginning.

88 or 89 if I recall correctly. There was nothing like Saturday practice at the GP. Grass was higher than the fences, banners and stakes. 2 or 3 sessions and the soil was primo and of course.rough. Not like today.
Thanks for sharing the video Jamma. Love those style tracks.
